Default Do you have to use a VPN to access any casino affiliate programs you promote?

Just curious if anyone has had a negative experience accessing an affiliate program using a VPN due to site wide IP geo restrictions.

Many casinos that don't allow U.S. players both via IP block and terms of service often has a seperate website for their affiliate programs, that are not geo restricted and welcome U.S. based affiliates.
Meanwhile, other casinos have in-house affiliate programs within their main casino site, and thus, the only way to access is via VPN. I'm sure some will be fine, some casinos overtly suggest VPNs to bypass geo blocks for players, some more subtly, while others are more strict, I'm guessing it's the same for affiliates.

There's some popular casinos(I've been watching streamers lately, a number of U.S. based YouTubers play gamdom via VPN) that'd I'd rather not skip over that are not U.S. IP friendly. So I'm just gonna go for it for some, some seem like I shouldn't skip.

Wondering if anyone here are on any affiliate programs that you have to access via VPN? And more so, wondering if anyone has had a negative experience doing this in regards to your account.

    Thanks

I do, however only when I am traveling. Where I live - I can access all aff program websites I need, but if I am going to the UK, Germany, Italy, etc. a lot of these portals cannot be accessed. Which is when VPNs come in handy.

We're mainly UK focused but have some irish offers so I use a VPN to check the landing pages.

I've also looked occasionally at crypto casinos (although we don't do anything with them at the moment) and lots of them block UK IP's. A lot of the time the VPN doesn't work though and they give a "turn off your VPN" message.

In my case, half and half. Some are blocked, and others will probably be in time. And still others don't have an affiliate panel, so I don't log in anywhere but email/skype to find out if there are registrations.

For me it's not a problem, I just turn on the VPN when I want to log in and that's it, the operators allow it and there's no problem with it.

I'm more concerned about the players. I get the most traffic from heavily regulated countries, and I'm not sure if if someone clicks on an affiliate link and there's a blocker they'll either give up or turn on the VPN. The question is whether if he turns on the VPN it will be properly credited to the affiliate account or not. Theoretically cookies are saved in the browser so I guess it is not a problem, but I am not so sure.

If it's a straight cookie drop then it should still credit, the IP shouldn't affect that.

It could be an issue if they use fingerprint tracking that considers the IP, but I don't think many gambling affiliate programs do?

I’m lucky that I don’t have to use a VPN for betting but in work I can’t always do without it
