Do you plan to attend ICE or LAC at Excel in London in February 2022?

With gaming conferences beginning to resume over the past few months, 2022 is set to be the first full year of conferences since 2019

2022 kicks off with ICE is taking place in London at Excel Tuesday to Thursday, February 1 to 3 and iGB Affiliate London is taking place that same week at Excel on Thursday and Friday, February 3 to 4.

For this week’s poll I ask if you have historically attended either ICE or iGB Affiliate London and if you plan to attend them in 2022. Besides voting in the poll, I invite you to share your upcoming conference plans for the new year.

Personally, I’m planning to attend both the upcoming ICE and iGB Affiliate London conferences. And they will be my first live gaming events since the ICE and iGB Affiliate London shows in 2019. Historically, I've attend three or four gaming conferences a year, and I’m looking forward to finally being able to do that once again.

THE GPWA will be at both conferences, and at all of the major conferences taking place throughout the coming year. At ICE we will be located at the N3 entrance in stand ND3-C.

I will be attending LAC. Already registered and booked everything, just waiting for my UK visa to arrive. Hopefully, there will be no issues as my previous two visa applications were successful.

Anyone flying in for it just bear in mind that you currently have to isolate until you've had a negative PCR test after arrival, so you'll need to come a couple of days early.

Guess the test can also be done on Day 0. The below is from the UK gov website.

When you arrive in England – fully vaccinated

After you arrive in England you must take a COVID-19 PCR test. This is the test that you booked before travel.
You can take the test any time after you arrive and before the end of day 2 at the latest. The day you arrive is day 0.
You must quarantine in your home or the place you are staying while you await your test result.

Yeah but it has to be a PCR test so the results aren't that quick. You can get same day done but it takes a good 4-5 hours minimum so you can only really get same day if you get it done in the AM, if you fly in later then it will be next day at a minimum (and not necessarily in the morning).

So if you want to be good to go on the thursday morning you probably want to arrive on the tuesday to give time for the test results to come back.

They're also super strict on it - last time we flew back to the UK we had people coming round to check on us to make sure we were isolating (not kidding!).

If all these rules still stand in February, LAC and ICE will probably be UK only events mainly.

Personally, I am fully vaccinated, do they expect me to self-isolate in a hotel in London for 10 days, if my PCR test at Heathrow comes back positive?

We were planning to attend however not sure if we will even be able to attend with the revised April date. A lot needs to change before planning April.

I'm planning to visit both LAC and ICE but I'm not sure if I will be able to because of the entire COVID situation.

I guess they rescheduled it to April because of that reason. Restrictions are going to be looser in April and more people would be able to attend.
