Question Do you plan to spend more or less time on affiliate marketing in 2023?

Soon it will be a new year. Traditionally the time to reflect on accomplishments in the old year and set goals for the new year.

In looking at your involvement in the affiliate industry, how do your plans for the coming year differ from your plans for the past year. Do your plans for the new year mean you will devote more or less time overall to the business in 2023 than you did in 2022? And do you plan to spend your time differently in the new year than you did in the past year?

We ran a similar poll in six previous years:

Do you plan to spend more or less time on affiliate marketing in 2022?
Do you plan to spend more or less time on affiliate marketing in 2021?
Do you plan to spend more or less time on affiliate marketing in 2020?
Do you plan to spend more or less time on affiliate marketing in 2018?
Do you plan to spend more or less time on affiliate marketing in 2017?
Do you plan to spend more or less time on affiliate marketing in 2016?

In last year's poll 64% of those responding said they expected to spend a lot more time than they did the year before. I'm curious how that will compare with the results of this year's poll.

More or less the same I'd say, no World Cup in 2023 might be a little quieter overall but it's marginal.

    Definitely more.
I also want to increase the quality of work so that these hours are more efficient. Admittedly, I have to work a regular job however I will spend as much of my free time and nights as possible on my site.

It may not seem normal but I've been doing gambling sites for about 12 years. I made my first pages in NVU. And I'm really just starting now
Thousands of articles I wrote on my sites I deleted. Sometimes I didn't like the domain, sometimes I changed the topic and for 12 years I didn't focus on anything. Once I even had a site that started to have traffic and registrations 11 years ago but I deleted it because I found it too unprofessional.

Yes I know it sounds like some kind of mental disorder haha. However, all this time I had a good job and making websites was my hobby. Now a lot has changed, for a long time I was only working extra because I was taking care of a tiny baby practically from birth, where I don't have parents or someone to help me and I got into a lot of debt and have a debt collector.

And from a hobby/dream I started to really try with my website. I deleted the last one 6 months ago. Then, 6 months ago I bought another domain and started the site I still do today. I'm sticking to it so that once again I don't change the niche and waste my time anymore. On the one hand I regret it, I could have a 12 year old site right now with many pages. But on the other hand, I don't turn my back and thanks to these years of creating gambling sites and reading posts on GPWA and AGD, I have more knowledge that now allows me to solve problems on the site that I once couldn't handle.

My advice to anyone starting out. Don't make generic casino, betting type sites. If you are a perfectionist and want to make a beautiful design and exhaust the theme you will never do it and you will be frustrated. You can have two three sites, however, heavily niche focusing on one game/sport/type of betting and many other niches. Of course also without exaggeration, I'm not talking about niches that no one is looking for, of course everything with a head. I was just wasting my time through these overly general sites.

So in conclusion, definitely more time. And in 2024 I hope already a little less as the site develops.

I certainly plan to spend a lot more time on affiliate marketing, next year. I really am struggling at the moment, as I'm not making even close to as much money, as I used to. Life is becoming more difficult, and our industry just isn't as good as it once was. Too many regulations, restrictions, rogue behaviour and casinos closing.

Gambling will probably continue to have increases. But well, it's the regulations. From what I've analyzed recently what countries are blocking make it harder for gamblers to access unlicensed sites are...in Europe virtually all of them already. Norway too, I think, starting in the new year.

But it will certainly be a good thing. Gambling and betting have existed since civilization has existed and will continue to exist, and there will always be a good partner to try to make a mark on the market, so you have to look optimistically and work

I plan to spend about the same time as last year. However, I decided to shift my focus significantly.

What I like or thought would work is not bringing in the majority of my income, so I plan to focus on what is.
