My old domain name used to rank well on most esport keywords associated with starcraft 2, league of legends, dota 2. Few KEY concepts that went wrong were these:
- Primary markets are US & South Korea, both unable to deposit due to various reasons.
- Low player value, probably due to the fact many of them people are college kids, betting small time.
The only other region interested in those is the Scandinavian, but never had much traffic from there. Back then Pinnacle was the only brand offering such services, and they were really struggling to find a way to allow South Koreans make deposits.
Digibet was their competitor, have never worked with them, but they went all out on signing deals with ocelote a professional league of legends player and opening their page now says "Digibet closed its esports section".
So nothing new or innovating and at this point not worth investing your time or resources as many books have realized. At least not until the 2 major markets are unable to register or deposit or both.
