Default Domains for sale / looking for best ways to sell?

    Hello,

I'm new and never sold a domain, Since this is a Gambling forum Ill just list the Gambling domains and if your interested in a full list of non gambling domains for sale than send me a PM.

I don't know how to price/appraise etc yet and pretty much just looking to hear offers and If I like it, Ill sell.

I'm looking to learn whats best way to sell domains as far as it being a clean transaction and also would be nice to use a service that doesn't kill me on fees etc

I just want to "break cherry" for selling domain and make it a learning experience.

I would appreciate any information you guys may have on whats proper selling/buying etiquette. Any info on auctions, how to find a domains value, best plan for flipping domains? Any strategies, I watched few youtube videos with people saying develop first, then sell? IDK

    Well here there are....

    DepositFreePoker.com
    DepositFreePoker.org (Sell together?)
PokerView.info (got permission from PokerView.com to use name to advertise affiliate)
    SouthKoreaPoker.com
    LasVegasHangouts.com
    PokerDeals.us
    RakeBackRoll.com
    AdvertisingPoker.com
    BankrollSharksc.com
    OffshoreGambling.co

I'm also curious on offers, if any on...

    PokerViewBonus.com/org/net/info
PokerViewBonus.com/org/net/info (Site gave me permission to use name)

Its a rare chance I sell the PokerView names as these are my first sites ever that I am developing and just have a good feel about them, but you never know, I might have a better feel about an offer someone gives me The site is doing very well and it looks like a pile of crap as I am just playing with things and learning it all lol

    Thanks

    Vegas Jim

Should I post the domain sales in a different category?

    Hi VegasJim,

I actually used to make a semi-decent earner out of flipping domains back in my college days and although the market is slightly more crowded now there is certainly more space.

Firstly, you may be in the wrong place if your looking for advice on buying and selling domains (no offense GPWA!). Although this forum is a mine of information for affiliate managers and webmasters the focus isn't really on domains. If you have some excellent domains then they could sell, but the impression I get is that these guys aren't around to collect and resell domains, more build sites and earn through that. Unless the domains have instant site monetization potential (which IMO they don't) then your not going to get anywhere.

I'd recommend hopping along to a sh*t-hot domain forum I used to love called Namepros.com - get an honest appraisal and read up on the characteristics that make a domain valuable and focus on them. No one ever gets it right the first time but it will be a good learning curve!

Don't leave GPWA though, you may find building sites on them is a better way to do it!

Sorry I'm not a buyer and best of luck selling them

    Cheers,
    Dave

I've sold quite a lot of domains and websites over the years too and your best bet is probably to list them on Sedo.com and maybe to run an auction on Flippa.com, although with the latter you would do much better if you were to develop the domains (even with a basic site) because it will increase the value considerably. I've made as much as $14k selling a developed site on there in the last year, so it can be worth the effort

    Vegas Jim,

I just came across your thread again there and something occurred to me...

There's a business to be built around "AdvertisingPoker.com" you know.

    Might be worth thinking about

I'm impressed that Poker View were cool with the use of the name in the domain. Surely any traffic for that keyphrase is going to convert like crazy.

I'm still a newbie too really. I've tried negotiating on quite a few domains and got close to buying a few times, but in my opinion the majority of owners expect too much, especially for undeveloped domains.

Dave, I doubt you'll tell but I'd love to know what you paid for liveroulette.co.uk, your blog on that was really interesting.

I like Sedo. They allow you to park domains and set a sale price and/or accept bids. You also get paid a share of the ad revenue on any parked domains. You can leave them there until you get an acceptable offer - although to be fair I wouldn't expect a flood of offers.

AdvertisingPoker.com does sound like it could be a good brand.

I don't really think the .info ones are worth anything to be honest, or .co's.

But, you've got a bit of a gem on your hands there if you were prepared to set up a proper business around it.

    That's the one.

    It's worth 10x, 100x, 1000x even, the rest combined

You definitely need to think about setting that up as an actual business though. It will be worth it, for sure.
