Earn United Closes Down

Just received this e-mail:

We are writing to inform you that effective March 15th 2011 the Earn United affiliate program will close.

After March 15th, all tracking links for Play United Casino will become inactive and you will no longer be able to promote Play United Casino with new traffic, so we strongly encourage you to remove your affiliate links immediately.

All Earn United payments and earnings prior to March 2011 will be handled by Earn United as normal. Should you have any inquiries regarding earnings prior to March 2011 please contact manager@earnunited.com.

If you have a player database at Play United and you want it to be migrated please contact Wager Junction (affiliates@wagerjunction.com) with both your Earn United Affiliate ID and an existing or NEW Wager Junction affiliate ID and they will facilitate the migration. Please note that the cut off date for this information is the 14th of March as it involves a movement of database and Playtech have a specific window for this to occur in.

Furthermore, we wish to inform you that the assets of CasinoGeneva.com have been sold to a new owner. You will receive a follow-up email about the new affiliate program (www.allianceaffiliates.com) where your details have been transferred and you may continue promoting the brand without interruption. No action is required by you - your account will be migrated automatically and your Casino Geneva tracking links will continue to track and report at AllianceAffiliates.com. We should mention that CasinoGeneva.com is also now open to French and USA traffic, so that may present an attractive new opportunity for you.

We recognize that this notice is very short and apologize for the inconvenience. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. We have thoroughly enjoyed working with you and wish you success in your future endeavors.

Best regards,

Earn United

Is it just the affiliate program that is closing down or Play United Casino also.
There is mention of Wager Junction - Are they taking over the casino?

It appears to be going that way topboss, but we are not sure until Wager Junction or Play United talks about it. Are you promoting earn united?

Are you promoting earn united

Yep, I promote them quite a bit. I am just a bit peeved off that they have hardly given us any notice and there is no word from Wager Junction to say whether they are taking over the casino.
It leaves me with a situation of ...Do I remove the links or replace the links....

I have spoken to Stelios at Wager Junction via MSN and he advised me re the following

1) The Casino is going to remain open but as a skin of Windows Casino , it is not taking any new player registration. So in effect it gets killed off but WJ have stepped in to make sure affs still get paid for existing players.

2) If you have a player DB contact WJ with your EArn United and WJ aff ids and they will ensure that it is migrated . There is such a short cutoff time as WJ has recieved very short notice re this and Playtech can only accomodate this move in a certain timeperiod.

I asked Stelios re the comm structure and he told me that for all affs migrating from EU to WJ would get the WJ comm structure.
So the aff program is shutting down and the Casino stays alive but does not continue to take player registration.

I am pretty sure the WJ guys will be posting re this in due course - but you can also always email them or MSN and Skype them - no need to wait for them to post on boards all the time ;)

Had a lot of respect for Ryan and the Earn United team. Will be sad to see them go.

Yes Ryan and his boss were among the first people i met in the business.

I will note, that i was paid for Feb, before the shutdown email was sent, it certainly made the news much less worrisome.

Good luck guys!

I agree that Ryan is a decent bloke and I will miss him. Hopefully he will turn up at another casino.
Thanks for the info TheGMan - Stelios has also since popped me an email explaining it all.
