Easy Apache 4 - PHP 7.2 and GEOIP Module | will it work?

A few weeks back, my VPS was updated from EA3 > EA4.

However, they (VPS is full managed) kept PHP 5.6, stating PHP 7.2 is not compatible with the GEOIP module, which I use. Since then, I've found a site which claims the GEOIP mod is compatible, and goes on to tell you how to install it.

https://grepitout.com/install-mod_ge...-easyapache-4/

Towards bottom of page, gives instructions for PHP 7.2

PHP 7.2
Install geoip php module using the following command:

/opt/cpanel/ea-php72/root/usr/bin/pecl install hxxp://pecl.php.net/get/geoip-1.1.1.tgz

Question:
Is EA4 and PHP 7.2 able to use the GEOIP module?

Advice, help is much appreciated.

Cheers
