    Default EGR Awards Nominees

Absolutely everyone loves awards, and players in the iGaming industry are no exception. Each year the eGaming Review hosts the EGR Awards (sometimes referred to as the Oscars of the online gaming industry – although Billy Crystal has not hosted… yet) as a way of celebrating the best operators in the business. This year, [...]

Looking here it seems it is self nomination.

    mmmmhhhh

Thats odd we got an email saying that we had been voted for Mobile operator of the year which was really good news, a couple of weeks later we got an email saying sorry competion has been very stiff this year and you did not make the group, but you are welcome to book a table at the event!!!

I dont care about booking a table if i wanted to go but not being up fo rthe award to me is an insult, to qualify for the group it states:

    Mobile operator of the year
The Mobile operator of the year award will reward the operator that has managed to make a real difference in a sector that has been tipped for great things on many an occasion. Simplicity of use and access will be important factors in the judges’ decision, along with reliable technology and an innovative approach to mobile gaming. Integration with other platforms is important, but achievements on the mobile platform alone will be more valued.
Key criteria to be looked at by the judges include:
    Innovation
    Revenue growth
    Uptake
    Integration with other platforms
    Usability *
    Depth of product

NordicBet has by far the most advanced mobile phone and i phone betting application the sports betting business today and we do not even get shortlisted, I am also willing to bet they a judge did not even use our application, and as for the other things such as revenue growth we would never give that out in public we are private company, so I am sorry to say but i find these awards a bit of shame.

At least with the I gaming awards affiliates are voting for them so you know if you have been voted it is real.

Sorry rant over, Nicole I am very sorry for hijacking your thread and I also wish your partners luck in winning the awards.

    Thanks

    Shaun

Mate would not feel too annoyed tbh, those awards are being seriously devalued.

They have Sportingbet up for the category as best affiliate program.

Well if reducing affiliates % down to 15% because they either are not active enough or are loss making, ie, sending winners then theres even room for Grand Prive to think they could get a nomination.

Heres their criteria and i have highlighted in bold the beauty

    Affiliate programme of the year

This category will reward the operator affiliate team which has best utilised the full range of marketing techniques to drive customers towards their sites. In an industry that is becoming ever more reliant on affiliates for traffic and sign ups, judges will look for innovation and cleverness in how operators' affiliate departments have made best use of the tools at their disposal. The judges are also looking for effective use in more than one of the following: mail shots; brand advertising; SEO and viral marketing; and rake back programs.

Key criteria to be looked at by the judges include:
    Innovation
    Mail shots and brand advertising
    SEO and viral marketing
    Incentives
    Affiliate relationship management *

Also nominated are Betfair whom i love to bet with but who remove sportsbook affiliates sign ups after one year, 888.com who i personally have no gripe with but on these forums have some serious enemies,

Not worth the paper they written on them awards mate, your better off without them rather than being associated with some of the crooks nominated.

    Shaun,

I don't get it, did you send in a nomination for the Mobile Operator or not?

As I understand it, you pretty much have to do the leg work to get nominated, but from the actual nominations, they do actually have a rigorous evaluation process. So, yes, to the extent that it is self nomination, it's a bit bunk, but I accept the fact that they don't have the time to go out and review every single brand with the depth that they need to, so they have to rely on self-nomination.

If you didn't put through a full application, that would be the reason you didn't make the nominations, even though it sounds like you guys are definitely pulling your weight in the mobile space.

On that note, mFortune is definitely leading the mobile casino space, in terms of quality of games, innovative promotions, innovative marketing tools, and depth of coverage. We couldn't get all the info together for the app on time so mFortune, another clear leader, is also not in the running.

    Meh.

On the other hand, I'm up for 4 Best Affiliate Manager of The Year Awards, so the thing MUST be rigged, right?

    Hei Louis

Yes we did all of the leg work, we sent everything back aside from financialinformation the compnay which we are not at liberty to discuss in public.

We do not touch casino on the mobile we are 100% pure sports book and as i said we are by far the most advanced in the industry and we also have an amazing iphone products so we should have been at least short listed.

It also proberly didnt help that i think i met somebody from EGR in Budapest and i told them that we had on interest in the event they are setting up....

As for affiliate manager of the year i am with you it must be a fix if any of the IA crew are up for it!!!

    Good luck

    Shaun

    Hahaha.. luck?? What's that for??

Winners don't need luck. It's all in the marionette strings, my friend.

Seriously though I don't think I stand I chance. I'm too busy actually being an affiliate manager to spend time drumming up a campaign.

With regards to the mobile stuff, I'm sending you a PM about doing business together.

Aren't all the "awards" out there "influenced" by if you advertise or not? I'm pretty sure they all are.

I'd like to think that awards aren't influenced by money...glad to hear your philosophy on them.

As i stated in my post your votes are voted for my the affiliate comunity so i agre e100% that your awards are not based on how much cash we put in your pocket, as for the other awards!!!!!!
