Default ESPN ends fantasy sports prize leagues

Pretty stunning move from the self-proclaimed "Worldwide leader in sports," especially given that they signed 9-figure deal with DraftKings last year (which the opted out of earlier this year).

While this move doesn't have anything to do with daily fantasy sports, per se, it does mean that winner of ESPN fantasy sports leagues (which have traditionally been season-long leagues) now won't get any prizes at all.

    Default

Fantasy sports now tarred with the same brush as normal sports betting - and deemed unsavoury if done online.

The US psyche towards ONLINE gambling is a strange thing - given the vast numbers of casinos that exist in the US.
