really **** week for me with one thing or another, found a lump on my dog so had to take him vets straight away Wednesday morning

popped a sleeping pill last night so couldn't get out my bed this morning so hopefully gym tomorrow (Friday) morning. Only done my 1 run this week

Still no booze though so that's helped, going to go dry this weekend then start drinking again next weekend

**** I hope your dog is ok. Are they going to do a biopsy or something?

Why you gonna start drinking again?
I'm planning on a decent drink next Friday night. Having a girls night. A decent drink for me will be about 2 beers before I'm on my ass. Soft.

    =====================

Here is a pic from the Michelle Bridges workout last weekend. I didnt get to actually tense my bicep in time for the photo it seems
Ah well, check out my traps in the first pic. HUGE! Hahaha

What will happen if it rains? Are you going to melt or is the possibility of the rain destroying your lovely hairdo ?

Ahh so you gotta build up your tolerance again.
Thing is, if you didn't, it would be much cheaper for you and far funnier for your mates

Fingers crossed the lump is nothing. How old is your dog?

We call ourselves the pirates. Not even sure where it came from to be honest.

    ====================

One of two leg days this week today.
Same as the first day last week.

Went up 5kg on my leg press and it felt so hard today. Probably should have waited until next week to go up 5kg. Ah well.
Same as last week on the leg extensions. Again, felt super hard this week. Must be having a lull in my energy level today.

Abs were burning after the ab session. Love it when they burn.

Of course ended with 10 mins on the spin bike.

Since this is the start of another 12 week cycle, I took photos and measurements yesterday. It's weird, in 8 weeks I have not put on any weight, but my measurements were a few cm higher. I can't decide if that's a good thing or not. It probably means my muscles are growing and I'm losing fat, but I'd still expect the measurements to be smaller. The only one that was smaller was my chest, which is pretty evident as my boobs are pretty non existent these days.

I just hope it means my bum is growing. Wouldn't mind a nice bootay!

I'll still be able to put the booze away, don't worry about that

Dog is about 6 I think, a Beagle. He isn't showing any other signs so fingers crossed.

Only 2 and a bit weeks till the trip so putting in some hard graft again from tomorrow if I can, hurt my shoulder/back though, I think doing Trap Dips. Feels a bit like something trapped but don't know, most probably a strain. Not going to let that stop me though

    Exactly.

@BountyPkr - The hardest thing is to start. But once you start, the hardest thing will be to stop

OK so yesterday was cardio, core and flex day. Did Intervals on the treadmill for 20 mins then intervals on the crosstrainer for 10 mins.

    Core stuff:

3 sets of the following circuit:
12 Kneeling core balance - so on your hands and knees raising opposite leg and arm. L + R = 1 rep.
    12 crunches
12 bent scissor legs - on your back with your knees up legs bent. reach forward with a bent leg and touch the ground with your toe and pull it back up again. Doesn't sound like much but after a couple of these the entire core is burning from holding one leg up and the other leg down. L + R = 1 rep.
12 hip raises with 1 leg up. Harder than it looks. L+R = 1 rep.

    3 sets of the following:
    12 side taps each side
12 back extensions on a fit ball.
12 double leg lift. so on your back with legs bent at a right angle. both legs go out straight and do not touch the floor and back up again.

    Followed by a stretch.

I was supposed to have legs today but I'm going to the osteo this arvo so decided I will leave legs for tomorrow.

Only 2 and a bit weeks till the trip so putting in some hard graft again from tomorrow if I can, hurt my shoulder/back though, I think doing Trap Dips. Feels a bit like something trapped but don't know, most probably a strain. Not going to let that stop me though
Sounds like something that is quite common. If it's what I'm thinking, best thing you could do is either get someone to knead it with their elbow (OUCH), or go get a deep tissue massage. If it doesnt get kneaded out it will become a huge knot and could cause issues with the shoulders (rotator cuff, bursitis etc).

There is a stretch you can do for it too. if you put one arm up like youre going to do a tricep stretch, then the opposite hand behind your back below and connect your fingers behind your back, then look down and away from your top arm you will feel it stretch all the way down your trap.

Hopefully it's not a big one. I know people who have had big ones and they can't even turn their head.

Another Insanity fan here. I'm into my fitness anyway and done a lot of different sports, weight training, running etc in the past but nothing has given me results as quick as insanity has. It's strengthened my core more than anything else I've done too which is so important considering the long periods I can be sat down for.

You don't need much space, the moves are easy and most of the workouts are well under an hour.

Some people get frustrated that they don't lose as much weight as they hoped early on or they gain weight but it's about the body fat you lose and you'll look drastically different very quickly. I do recommend taking a body fat reading and some measurements before you start though.

It might not be realistic for most to do 60 days straight but I don't believe it's necessary and the workouts are something I'm continuing with just on a less frequent basis.

It is expensive but most of the videos seem to be uploaded on the internet!
