Ouch ! there is nothing more frustrating than falling on your face, happened to me once when riding a bike, I climbed a very precipitous relatively small hill and on my way down my face met the ground and the bike was above me also, it was Saturday in the park and so many people saw this, my friend started to laugh it was a hilarious

That's a pretty nice view. I don't have anything that nice while I'm doing my exercise, except when I'm doing my cardio in our office gym and there is a couple having sex in their apartment with the window open. I'm not kidding either. We face an apartment block and they don't realise that even though they can't see us, we can see them. There is a woman who walks around her balcony naked most of the time too. I imagine coming into summer it's going to be even more so!

I hit legs and chest this morning. After a week with nothing I was surprised that I was still able to dumbell press my PB weight. Although the failing was about a rep or two earlier than usual, still a win for me. Same thing on the legs.

Even though it's a public holiday/long weekend here, I'll still get up at 5 tomorrow to gym. That way it's out of the way. I almost cancelled my sat morning outdoor fitness group because I thought all the girls would be away, but they were disappointed and wanted me to still run it, so it is going ahead. We have changed locations to a place that has self serve BBQs so we will be cooking ourselves bacon and egg rolls after our hard work.

I'll leave you with this image for the weekend. This chick is who I look at when I need motivation. I think her body is amazing. It is not for everyone and I would expect some people to be like "eww she is gross" or "she looks like a man". Those people need not comment

Her name is Bella Falconi and she has her own supplement line, her own clothing line etc etc. She is just awesome.

    Well, it's peak week.

For today and tomorrow I'm on very low calories with no carbs still, then Wed, Thurs and Fri I will be on high calories with carbs to fill my muscles back up.
Thursday is my water loading day and Friday is when my water starts restricting.
Saturday I will have hardly any water before I step on stage and after the show I get to have a cheat meal which I have already planned to have at my favourite pizza restaurant. Sunday I get to have a cheat day too then Monday back on it for the next comp 2 weeks later.

I woke up feeling really lean this morning. I'm looking forward to seeing what the next few days will bring.

    What's the deal with water?

As far as I know, when you don't drink water the body reacts by retaining water. So your goal with the Thursday water loading is to excrete as much water as you possibly can before the competition, tricking the body and not having any water on Saturday before the comp, therefore having the minimal amount of water in your organism?

Yep exactly. So drinking so much water makes the body get rid of everything it is storing because it knows it will get it replaced. So once it has gotten rid of it, then you restrict it but still have a small amount regularly and it will keep flushing it out for a certain period. So after my second last meal on Friday I'm not allowed any more water. Then with only minimal on comp day just to have my supplements, the water under my skin should be gone which will make the muscles pop out more.

I'm very interested to see what a difference only a couple of days make.

My whole body hurts today. I haven't had doms like this for awhile. My adductors feel like foreign objects attached to my body.

This morning during my session my shoulders looked amazing. Doing a barbell shoulder press the middle delts were popping out and I could see some striations in the muscle going on. It was quite cool actually.

The separation in my quads is showing during my posing and yesterday after my workout my abs decided to make a very minor appearance. Considering my muscles are flat at the moment because they are depleted I was impressed. It has been almost 15 years since I had abs. I can't even remember what they look like LOL

This is something that only you have control over. You need to want to stop and be determined enough to do it otherwise whatever you try will not work. If you set your mind to quit then your chances of succeeding are very high anf you will be very happy you did. Its hard work but its possible so dont give up. Good Luck!

I personally believe in fast&clean cut, decide to stop and just stop it !
You'll be amazed how strong the power of will is. I used to smoke 1 pack a day 7 years ago and I stopped in one day !

But is it really what you want ? maybe you can enjoy it without abusing your body ?... I mean I dont know your life style and how much you smoke but first step might be not smoking at home, stop smoking on mornings... or limit your smoking to 3 a day only when you are going for a drink !

But again here the same force is working, power of will. Doesn't matter what you decide to do just do it and get on with it . Or else

I quit smoking by deciding I'm not a smoker anymore. The rest followed.

You will get water from the food you eat too, so it's not really necessary to have so much.

The general idea is 2 litres per day plus 1 litre for every hour of exercise you do. Keeping in mind that you get water from food too, drinking 2 litres per day is not completely necessary.

The easiest way to tell if you need to drink more is by the colour of your urine. If it is almost white, with a slight yellow tinge, you're drinking enough. If it gets any darker you need more. Pretty simple.

I did the same thing. Woke up one morning and decided I didn't want to be a smoker any more and haven't had a ciggie since.
It's hard when you love something so much to give it up (and I did really love it, smoking a pack of 12mg a day), but when I did it, every time I thought about having a ciggie I said to myself that I would have to start the "time" all over again if I had one. A week turned into a year, and then turned into 6. In fact next month will be 6 years exactly since I quit smoking.

I still dream about smoking at least once or twice a week. I could easily pick up a cigarette and start smoking again tomorrow like I never stopped. It's just a matter of keeping that thought in your mind that it's more important not to do it any more.

Today is my first carb day for the next few before the comp. I've just had my first carb meal that had 100g chicken, 60g white rice and a cup of brocolli. White rice with himilayan rock salt tastes so good when you haven't had it for so long!

Had kangaroo for breakfast. I haven't had it in a long time and it was so good. It really hit a spot. I had that with a whole egg and 2 egg whites scrambled.

Drinking chlorophyll all day (which in my opinion tastes like crap) but it's good for digestion and carrying oxygen around the bloodstream.

I'm starting to notice small changes in my body every couple of hours which is kinda cool.

    Really excited for Saturday now

    Hi

The truth is that most people are not prepared to do what it takes to get "abs".

For you to get abs, you need to drop body fat. The best way to do this is to build lean muscle mass. The higher your lean muscle mass, the more your body burns at rest. Higher metabolism etc etc. If you want abs, you are going to have to work hard on what you put in your mouth. The saying "abs are made in the kitchen" did not come from nowhere

You can't spot reduce fat, so you have to aim to reduce overall body fat. If you work the same muscles too much, you will retain fat in those areas. Not enough, they wont grow. If you eat the wrong food your body composition will not change the way you want it to.

To give you an idea, I'm 5'7 and this morning I weighed in at 59.9kg. I still don't have a six pack (all the time) and I have been doing training the last 4 months for a fitness competition.

Everyone is genetically different too. Some people are leaner around the mid section while other people, no matter how lean they get, will never have abs.

If you want to start by just losing weight, the most simplest way to do this is calories in vs calories out. Once you've gotten yourself to a place where you are happy with how you look, you could then start to worry about the type of calories you're consuming. Perhaps then check out iifym.com

    I hope this helps.

Hmmm I am not so sure....

The emails say drinking water is bad and can kill you.
The emails say eating breakfast can kill you.
The emails say eating salads can kill you.
The emails say eating pizza can kill you.

We all already know that breathing or getting out of bed, let alone walking to the mailbox can kill you....

Hmmmm, I guess we should all just eat chocolate....
