Weird? Did you mail individually or as a group and were they your friends???

I had a friend that was running dating sites and she created several "dodgy" apps that auto invited people's friends wwhen they accepted the app (I know bad)- They had their FB banned and group closed down but after several chats they had it reinstated with several warnings !

I seem to recall a limit of 50 messages within a 24 hour period. Did they send you any correspondence telling you what you did wrong and what their policy is?

LMAO I am sure you will get your account back. In the meantime I heard Bill and the Gates is on twitter. Maybe send a tweet ask him who he bought his very first script from. He just may answer that one.

I am amazed that you got "Banned" for what seems a very small act in my mind................what else did you do and what else have you been doing over the passed few weeks? It sounds like it could be a back-log of things.

It will be interesting to know when you will get your account back up and running.............

See you in London for a chat and a Guinesss................

I joined a bunch of betting groups a few weeks back and began posting in each one. After a few posts, a message came up warning me that inwas posting too fast and if I kept it up my account would be banned. I stopped right away.

I now usually only post on my profile and fan page.

We are making light of it... But don't you all grumble when you receive marketing junk in your facebook email? Friending someone, using current definitions, doesn't mean you want to be marketed to by that person. I suspect there were multiple complaints against these emails, which is why the account got closed.

Now, truth be told I'm not a great marketer... I take the approach preferring they come to me rather than risking annoying them with info they do not want.

    Hi Casino Jack,

One of my pals had a similar banning of Facebook account about 2months back. The probable reason she said is the IP. According to her too much promotion in the Facebook account from a single ID was the problem diagnosed for the ban.

Honestly, anything you download as an add-on for Facebook will prob do more bad than good.

On a side note, 50 "friends" a day is a tad high - unless you are the quintessential social butterfly. I'm not surprised they raised the alarm bells for something like that.

Facebook bans do seem to be getting more common. I've heard of 10 or so this month already from friends and affiliates. They tend to be ok with most people who appeal-but be careful, because once they start watching, they'll have an eye on you for a while!

Yes thatz the way it is. "50" is the limit everyday, but its not necessary you keep on adding 50 everyday. Why do you want so many friends who are total strangers to you.

You hit it on the head matted! I have nearly 800 friends and get annoyed by those that ONLY spam me and not utilize Facebook for the purpose it was made for.

I want to mingle and meet friends that have common interest as myself NOT have a ton of suggested fan pages fill my box everyday. When it gets to be to much from one person then I just un-friend them and move on.

I've always dreaded sales/marketing and it's a wonder that I've survived this long because of the fact that I don't send out newsletters (for over a year) or spam folks frequently.

I have enough enemys/clowns using my domain name for spamming purposes anyway. Roanan/RIPStuNov22 did it to one of my gmail accounts that I use at my forum last week after he was banned from CM and pissed at me, but that's another story that I want to forget.
