I hope that they are able to get power restored to RESIDENTS that I am sure are also affected by this.
The article did not detail whether the issue is city wide or at the NOC where the server equipment is stored. If it is the noc, then they do not have enough generator power for catastrophic failures. It also could be routing and switching equipment down all over the city.
This is likely to affect a lot more then the bookies listed so far.

Power was turned off to many areas of Gib as a precaution but I believe it's back on now for most residents.
All the operators who suffered downtime are located in the same office block some 50-odd meters from the site with the burning fuel storage tank. Despite the proximity, I don't think they needed evacuation.

Glad to hear that progress has been made and hopefully the bookies and other businesses affected can get power and other services restored quickly.

Any news on how affected companies and residents are?
