    Default Gambling affiliate manager salary?

    Just out of curiosity:

What is the salary like for an AM? I guess it is not fixed but also a commission part? What is this commission based upon? New players? New affiliates? In what range is the commission?

I understand if the AM don't want to reveal their salary.

This is an interesting topic. I always wondered the same but never dared to ask.

Is it hard for affiliate managers to see how much money some affiliates earn? Their own salary is much lower, no?

It's easy for AMs to see your earnings as they can access your account and process the payments.

It varies a lot per company. New vs an old and established brand. The markets. etc.

It depends on the location as well , I know managers who only make $25,000 a year and others claiming to make $xxx, xxx.

What about the range of the commissions? Do they get commission? Is it like 1%, 5% or 15% or 30%?

LOl I wish I earned anywhere near $25 000 a year converted into SA Rands that would be R500 000 that would be fantastic been doing this job for around 12 Years Now and i cant comment on what I do earn .. its Competitive and i am able to look after my family as best i can but every month i am still in a negative Life is expensive these days and im sure most regular affiliates might find themselves in the same boat every month ... Its not about the salary as much as it is about being involved in one of the most addictive industries there is that keeps me in my job . I agree though depending on where your based and size of the company your working for it could be a high paying roll i just love doing this job so dont complain there are benefits other jobs dont have either fantastic people , fun people , fun events , travel etc perks

It's different for each company. Some pay commissions, some only pay a salary.
In Australia salaries could range from 50k to 6 figures and more if they pay commission.

That depends on how senior or junior you are, your track record, your current results and your company.

Some junior at a start-up without deep pockets will be paid pure on commission and earn some pocket money, a senior aff. manager at a good running brand will have somewhere mid or end xxx.xxx. Some junior guy at Ladbrokes or where ever, I guess they pay them like $ 20.000 and some commissions if he's getting his banners on top.

I guess most of them will make around $ 25.000 - $ 40.000 a year and are having more freedom in their job than the average office guy is having. Also it depends very much on where the company is located. Cost of living in for example Denmark is totally another thing than the cost of living in Cyprus.

A lot of them also are having their own portals. That says enough perhaps.

It seems we a bit underestimate Am's salaries. I know some AMs that make $6-10k per month and that's before some % of the revenue generated. They end above $100k per year, but of course they are high on the experience scale.

Also, relocations is another parameter that changes things.

Btw, compared to the number of affiliate managers, very few have websites. I would say less than 1%.

But how could a typical commission system look like? A percentage of all new affiliates the AM brings in? A % of the existing ones?

    Endless options:

    Just salary and early bonuses
Salary and bonuses according to monthly targets
Salary + small % of generated revenues.

    etc...

Considering becoming an affiliate manager ?

I didn't express myself correctly. I meant that affiliate managers can see how much good affiliates earn. Is it hard for them to see the big numbers the affiliates get compared to what they earn.

Although if I read that some earn 6 figures + commission, they have nothing to complain

Yes but it would be like that working in bank too when you have to see how much money some people have in their accounts

Exactly. Eventually, we all have our own predispositions and strengths. Some great managers that have 100s of people beneath them - wouldn't make a $ working independently. The others, can make 100s K alone, but would die in the office. Each one and his own nature i guess. That's what nice about it.

With this in mind, you'd better not come outside at all:

    - People working in a car shop seeing people coming and going with cars they cannot afford themselfs
    - A bank employee seeing people having millions in their accounts while he's working for a few K a month there
    - A beauty salon worker seeing girls that are way more beautiful coming to their shop
    - A cleaner, cleaning at people's houses things they cannot afford themselves
    - A teacher, seeing that some students are smarter than himself/herself

    Etc...

Granted some do make more than a decent living ( yes we've seen your beemer Martyn like zillion times ) but IMO most are underpaid for what they do. No wonder why we see so many aff mngrs often switch the companies ( as soon as you establish some solid relationship they move on ... ).

If the sums here are true then I do not wonder that they are so lazy most of the time
We are all bloodsucking ticks, hungry, devious
each one latched on to the ass of the previous
when the last and the first latch on it can be shown
ass-blood sucked by the first from the last is his own
