Default Gambling Affiliate Website Compliance ?

    Hey,

Firstly just like to say thanks for the forum, im learning alot more from reading you guys posts.

I have a question, i hope its ok to ask. Im just wondering what disclaimers and such we need on our gambling affiliate websites to comply with the standards of the gambling comission etc.

Is there a website where i can find out what we need to comply for gambling affiliate websites. I see lots of people have the "please gamble responsibly" disclaimers at the bottom of there websites and links to numbers for gambling support etc.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

I'm assuming you're talking about the UK as you're referring to the gambling commission?

If so there are a few rules from the commission and the ASA you need to be aware of. Here are the CAP guidelines: https://www.cap.org.uk/Advertising-C...AP%20Code.ashx

But as a rough guide you should:

Display a link to gamble aware or gamcare on your site
Display the text 18+ or the 18+ logo
    Not encourage underage gambling
Not imply that betting will make you more attractive, successful etc..
Not encourage gambling as a way of making money or imply that a bet/strategy etc.. will definitely win
Be careful of the use of the word 'free' (see CAP guidelines)

I would steer clear of using the word free at all.

Rather use the words welcome bonus, deposit bonus, up to XXX bonus. UKGC are cracking down big time at the moment.
