Default Gambling firms to be forced to pay about £100m a year to NHS

More extortion by the UKGC. No doubt it will be taken out of the affiliates pocket as usual.

    From that article:

The BGC said it believed the levy should also have been applied to the national lottery, as well as its own members, who are dominated by bookies and casino companies.
I wholeheartedly agree that national lottery should be included in this, and none of this 'they already give enough to good causes' bull. National lottery scratchcards in particular, which are accessible on every high street, in every supermarket, in every corner shop, and can also be purchased using a credit card, cannot be exempt from this whole conversation.

    Great news for partners
Let's hope that bookmakers will increase the margin imposed on the odds and they will be even lower.

Let's hope that the tax will be radically increased in the future.

They have always been exempt from gambling laws. They only upped the age to 18 from 16 in 2021. This is well after the era that they started cracking down on Fixed Odds Betting Terminals, calling them "the crack cocaine of gambling", whilst allowing the sale of scratch cards to children. The UKGC only have their own pockets at interest, I am sick of reading about the farce of "protecting the gamblers". Complete and utter nonsense and nothing else. A self-serving government entity, nothing but parasites.

Just reading the subject line you say to yourself ..... now what are those UKGC people up to. Does anyone there really think?

If they are going to implement this it must be across the board to include the National Lottery and not directed at one sector. The National Lottery offers highly addictive games too!
