Default General very important request concerning search patterns for online gambling!

    Dear Members and GPWA Friends,

As I am currently working on my site websbestonlinecasinos.com and already redesigned it for better looking,
I now still have very important problems by promoting it...
I still have absolutely no sign-ups although my site is on the first position google.com for "best casinos"
how can that be? this is nearly impossible or not? but it is as I said?

So.... something seems to have changed within the last 6 to 7 years. How about the search patterns for online gambling. What are the kewyords people looking for? Do they prefer poker?

    what things should I know?

    Please help....

    Kind regards

    Exclamation

    yes, this is so strange.

7 years ago.. I was on top for "best casinos" as well with a site with very poor in design and looking, but made about 10-20 signups a day...

but now, although much better looking,

    "best casinos" seems worthless?

    really?

    Default Here you go

I'm pretty certain that the issue is your affiliate links.
Try swapping out your tinyURL links for standard links.
If you want to mask URLS, use javascript.
    Redirects cause tracking issues.

If this works, you can send me some link juice
I am impressed with your rankings and would be interested in working with you.

Thanks for your advice, but this can not be the case... I just changed all affiliate links to tinyurls-links. Beforehand it was the same case...

So... what may be the reason for getting absolutely no sign ups... do the people use other keywords than "best casinos"...

is "best casinos" so worthless nowadays?

what happened within the last years? it's like hocus pocus...

Assuming you have had this position for awhile and you are getting 25-30% of the 12,000 or so searches (locally reported by Google), you should definitely have plenty of sign-ups. I would say it has to do with the tinyurl link as well. Not sure how that works, but it's best to put in the casino affiliate links themselves.

However, when I visited your site, I figured out what brought your problem and your problem is probably not on the keyword you are using, I notice on your home page that there is no register nor log in button so how could you possibly have sign ups.. It is very important for such website to have the sign up or log in button placed in the most visible part of a site, most probably in the upper part of your home page if possible.

    Default Some details

    Thanks for your replies...

@webber286 --> As already said, this has nothing to do with.... The affiliate links are changed totinyurls since one week, even less than one week and beforehand I already got that position in google with same results (no sign ups)... Please understand!"

I just get a few clicks and downloads, and in all not more than 2-3 clicks a day with 1-2 downloads (not verey day), but no signups

    So...

    @JoeAdams
This might be a reason... but sign up/log in for what? The casinos are combined with download links at its best, what to do more? do you understand?... but can this really be the basic reason for getting no sign ups?

There are plenty of non-member sites that do very well. We're talking about signups with affiliates here, which is what matters.

What stats do you have on your actual traffic? Do you have a very high bounce rate?

    Exclamation so...

? I don't understand. All of my casino, poker or betting links are -without any question - affiliated links... so all links are anyhow sign up links.... what do you mean? so all of my links will bring signups with affiliates... so this can not be the reason, right?

but when we talk about traffic, just imagine, I am on google.com first page, okay? for "best casinos", "top casino games", "best casinos online" and for other good keywords on second page third page etc... so actually GOOGLE TRAFFIC has to work... right?

but it does not work... or it works but wiothout getting signups? and without a good number of clicks or downloads...although affiliated with different casinos....

What is going on here? Can anybody help please?

tbh I think your design is kinda weak...sorry to say it and I'm not sure what everyone else was boasting about - but if I came to your site i would leave. There is nothing there but adverts. Times have changed and you can't stick up a banner and a click here button and expect people to signup.

I can't find one reason to join any of the casinos you promote. Give me a reason.

Also I do use google preview alot - if a site looks like hell I dont click through, I scroll to the next site until I find one that looks like it might have what I want....I think design is going to play a big part of people's choices if more start using this feature.

If you're on the top slot for 'best casinos' at google.com, you must be getting good traffic. You really need to be analyzing traffic using detailed stats. If the traffic is high but you have virtually no conversions, maybe try a different design.

    Exclamation ok

@johnsmith.... many thanks for your advice and your help... yes I am on the top slot for "best casinos" at google.com....

but please don't be shaped by the guy (kaus) beforehand... I will add some more detailed review to each casino on subpages, maybe this can help...but I do not think so...

@kaus ...this is bullshit, do not understand me wrongly but I really do not have to comment this as a professional webmaster... My site is fully optimized for people looking for "best casinos" and look and feeling is very well done for casino enthuisiasts. Best Casinos are listed, facts for each casino are highlighted and are short enough to be readers-friendly....also emphazising phrazes like "claim bonus" or "play now" furthermore will support the users behaviour and/or to get them better in order to sign up. Colours and graphics are absolutely no topic for any kind of discussion! Let's stay friendly, I do not discuss on such a basis....

    I hope you understand this....

and nevertheless also when behaviour has changed and the people look for more written text or whatever when looking for "best casinos", even then I should made signups because not all of the people are effected like you when seeing my site. This is individual...please keep this in mind.

Well if you don't like it don't ask for it. I was being friendly - I was being honest which obv you didn't want to hear.

So I retract my answer - your site is outstanding - I have absolutely no clue why you can't get any signups. It's not a thin affiliate site. It's full of high quality content with excellent CTA's.

Good luck - maybe next time you should write - "I need some help but I don't want honest advice". This way we we know ahead of time whether we should bullshit you or not.

...and FYI I am not "this guy"

Come on, let's stop and forget this.

Honesty is a matter of sight, Friendly can sound better... this discussion should not extend too much...

    nevertheless sorry for "this guy"...

I was making a general comment as in if any site looks like hell through google preview I don't click. It's a fabulous tool because I cut down my search time. I can weed out legit sites and spam.

This comment and the previous one about google preview was not directed towards you. It was a general statement.

I just read your other thread and I really think you need to either take the advice people give you or just stop asking. No point in asking for something if your not open minded about it.

Anyway won't post again, since my opinion is obv not wanted. I did want to make sure you knew the "sites look like hell" wasn't directed towards you specifically.

Or instead of using tinyurl, you could use the standard links of your affiliates casinos. Also set all your affiliate links to no follow.

    Default hi

    @itzblitz

I just follow my affiliate statistics every day and check my rank tracker tool for positions in search engines for important keyords and their KEI... According to KEI visitors should be 19368 for "best casinos"

Can you recommend any visitors tracking tool without opening a google analytics account?

    @cassy

thanks for your advice... but tinyurls should not be a problem, beforehand it was the same... moreover my site has to be cloaked in such links for being accepted in different directories...
i can not openely show up so much affiliate links on my site...

Other keywords is a good idea... although "best casinos" is a good keyowrd according to KEI, but I will add some more for optimizing.... yes, sure you're right....
