Default German Federal Administrative Court confirmed ban for online gambling

    Have you seen this? http://www.bverwg.de/pm/2017/74

German Federal Administrative Court has banned online casino and poker. What impact would it have on operators?
From what I've heard one big land-based operator withdrew from online (Merkur).

Which one? I've heard about Stake7 and Quasar. Merkur also withdrawn from online market.

Does any body have any news according to this?
what can affiliates focusing on the German market expect?
What can operators accepting german players expect?

what is your opinion in this case?

It seems that becomes a story with huge impact. Gauselmann (Merkur) confirms that they pull his slots from german market. My guess, this is only a beginning.

A lot of us focusing on german players AND Merkur (or Novoline) Slots. I this case, without further websites with focus on other markets/niches .... good night.

Stake7, Sunnyplayer, Sunmaker, Platincasino? All with DE focus and almost only equipped with Merkur Games ... what they should expect?!

    Thanks Eenzoo for the response.

And What about operators not using the typical german games like Merkur/ Novoline?
so the brands with NetEnt/ Microgaming/ Play'n Go and So on. What Will happen with these casinos in the German market You think?

Very good question! I think everyone waiting for the written opinion of the court and the mysterious appointment in December who was mentioned in an other thread. "In worst case" a lot of operators could reject from German market. Which wouldn't be the first time (Casumo, Guts did that yrs ago and came back later again).

But i guess there are enough to promote even when it comes to a system like in US with a lot of offshore casinos.

    Exactly What I thought.
Yet again a country Where we Only Can promote rogue offshore brands.
Not What we want as Affiliates. But Probably we Will be forced to do it.

Let us hope it Does not get That far. And we Can continue promoting malta and uk licensed brands.

And ... to keep it so confusing as possible, there is a "German New Jersey" - called Schleswig Holstein! That state granted licenses to a couple of operator https://www.schleswig-holstein.de/DE...inospiele.html

But if we want to follow an other judgment, THIS licenses are only valid to provide games to the 2.8 million citizens of Schleswig Holstein.
