    Default Getting On Adwords

    Hi,

I am a little confused to the adwords rules for UK based affiliates.

I understand that I am able to promote on adwords if I have a gambling license. Do I need my own, or can one of the companies you work for provide it?

Has anyone gone through the application proceedure, as I see a fair few portals on adwords.

Also am I right in thinking you would have to remove US accepting casinos from your portal if you are on adwords?

    Any Help Appreciated,

    Phil

Adwords has some strict rules and normally if you stick by certain guidelines such as not bidding on competitors emails, correctly laid out site and a good budget you should be fine.

To be a serious contender in this market you need to invest a min. of 5,000 a month.

I performed some test campaigns and found the aquisition cost extremely high. Some keywords were going for 30-50 or more per click. I'm sure that the more you wpend the better your quality score is, which helps drive down costs.

My conclusion at the time was that it was too expensive for a non google expert to do. I think you really have to know what your doing as well as have a healthy marketing budget.

To answer your questions on adwords for UK based affiliates, I believe that the casinos you advertise just need the license, not you. I've had an affiliate send me an application before where I had to state the licenses we held or something. At the time we didn't hold the Malta license so I wasn't able to help him, but that was the brunt of it.

I believe also that you may need to remove the US accepted ones, but any UK aff here will be able to confirm that for you.

    Cheers

Basic requirements are that all the sites on there need to be hosted in a white listed jurisdiction (Alderney, Malta, Gibralter, Isle of Man, Antigua (I think) and Tazmania) you need a link to Gambler Anonymous and I think that is about all
