Default Going through my old affiliate site, and found 12 out of 33 have closed. Why?

Hey guys, I thought I'd start an interesting discussion. I am comming back to the affiliate business after spending a decade on other projects. As I was freshenning up older reviews I was surprised at the quantity of sportsbooks that have gone out of business in the last few years. Out of 33 brands I had reviews for, 12 of them are closed since 2017 ish.

Since 2016-2017 these sportsbooks have closed their doors.

    • Eurobet Sportsbook | Migrated to Eurobet.it
    • TheSportsbook.com
    • BetEd.com
    • BetOnline.com
    • AllYouBet
    • Centrebet Sportsbook Migrated to Easybet
    • Doxxbet
    • Sports-1.com
    • Superbook.com
    • Totesport.com
    • Smart Live Sportsbook (from the defunct, Smart Live Casino brand)
    • Wagerchief.com

I am interested to hear from our sports affiiliates as to what can be learned from this, or perhaps any other insights. Was it regulatory issues? ie legal issues? banking, or mismanagement?

The others that are still open have changed significantly. I am still going through them now to see if I am still a member of their programs, or even it they will let me.

Ever since the bodog.com FBI website snatch in 2012 (?) offshore sportsbooks have been moving off .com sites.

Obscure sites that have struggled for traction? I've never partnered with them.

    TheSportsbook.com
I lost track of what they were up to after the carbon mess 8 or 10 years ago.

BetOnline.com has changed their links and now goes to .ag The affiliate program is handled by https://affiliates.commissionkings.ag
Get in touch with them about migrating your account, they may be able to help.

    Superbook.com moved to sportsbook.ag

    totesport.com
Here is some background on it

Maybe some of the other members can shed more light on the remaining ones, I will post further on those I find resources for.

Now that's an example if intimate knowledge of sportsgaming.

    Cheers!
