Goodlatte pockets $40K from horse racing lobby
Bob Goodlatte, the author of several bills that aimed to ban Internet gambling, including a precursor of what ended up passing as the UIGEA, has received $40,000 in campaign donations from the horse racing lobby, according to multiple sources.
Of course, all of those bills made exemptions for Internet wagers on horse racing. Now if only poker and the rest of the online gambling industry had been so organized from the start ...
