Post Google Allowing Online Casino Sites To Advertise

    Hey Everyone,
I have noticed the past few weeks that online casino sites are advertising on Google adwords. Has Google changed their TOS about online gambling ads here in the USA?

Post Online Gambling Portal - Shocking if true

If this is correct then this is shocking as Google suspended my account and seized months of revenues I had built up among several sites!

I did post threads about all this......

It is also possible that the sites you have noticed are putting Adsence on their sites and not yet been discovered / crawled by BIG G!

When talking to Google (Ireland Based Office) they said when they crawl the gambling sites and their ads are discovered they will without question suspend the accounts and return all made revenues back to the advertisers etc

    ..........................

Allan was talking about Adwords not Adsense.

Specialagent, did you read the terms before you posted Adsense on your sites?

    Default Opps my mistake!

Ok forget the last post! My mistake........... Duh! Reading to quick and not understanding correctly,

At the time I did not read the terms but had seen other gambling sites using it etc! It is also true that many other people make this same mistake and I wish I had before the suspension.

I assumed this was a good side-earner and when Google realised I got kicked in the ass soo.....

BE WARNED ANYONE WHO IS USING OR THINKING OR USING 'ADSENSE'

    Regards

    True,

As you spend more time here and see more of what can happen, hopefully you will learn to read and investigate the terms closer before jumping in head first.

This is something that each of has had to learn over the years....and some of us have had to learn the hard way so it's always good and healthy to discuss here....

I use Adsense and Adwords, but NEVER on a gambling related site...

So Google is still not allowing online casino ads even though there are several ads right now displaying online casinos? There are many ads showing right now for terms online casino and many more. It amazes me that Goggle has not caught on to this yet. Still it would be great if Google accepted online casino advertising.

Captain, they don't allow it because they do not want to share the revenue with webmasters. When I was doing some test adwords campaigns I was bidding on terms that went £20 and up. I saw some keywords going for over £80 for first place (per click). It was astonishing at how expensive it was to advertise to the UK and Ireland regions. I can't imagine the life time player values justifying their expense. At least on my scale it was no where near cost effective. Now, keep in mind I don't have proof. They monopolize on the market by restricting their gambling related adds to their SE pages. They don't have to share the overall market with other webmasters by placing it on their webmaster network. Hypocritical..

    Hey Everyone,
I am seeing USA results for all online gambling keywords showing mutiple ads at Google for online casinos and have for the past few weeks. If Google does not allow online gambling ads in the USA, how are these sites staying listed so long?

In Canada I have been seeing a lot of casino advertising as well, I tried running a campaign just for the heck of it. Of course it was denied.

part of me really wanted to point out the other sites that where advertising gambling promotions and casinos that where advertising to see what the difference was but changed my mind because I did not want to out them. If they are just getting lucky then more power to them I guess as long is there is no back room deals going on.

That's a very cool position to take not "outting" them. Your outting them most likely won't allow you to get approved, most likely it will only result in them getting cancelled.

They will probably get caught soon enough.
