    Default GPWA Conference News

    Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that due to the increasing popularity of the GPWA Conference (we're up to nearly 100 attendees now!) we have decided to extend the free registration deadline to Thursday, September 7th.

After this date we'll have to give a final headcount to the hotel for food and drinks before we head off to Vegas.

Walk-in registrants and folks registering AFTER September 7th only will be charged the $50 registration fee.

If you haven't registered already, it's not too late! Just visit the conference website and fill out the registration form before the 7th.

    Hope to see you there!

That's fantastic news! I am so pleased to hear that the GPWA will have a good turn out in Vegas. I am sure that it will help to bolster our image/importance in this industry and this will help all our members.

I just wish I could make it over for the event.

Awesome! I hope you all have a blast and lots of time for play. Will you bring those of us stuck at home back something?

Hmmm Bummer Ive already booked my flights and I wont be arriving until Late on the Wednesday so I wont be able to make it. Would still love to meet you guys though. I know this is too late for this year but for next year it might be an idea for GPWA members to wear a GPWA logo badge or somthing whilst at CAC. This would mean other GPWA members would recognise each other and talk (rather than just wonder past not knowing that guy next to them is someone they have chatted to in here for years etc). And Secondly it would be a Brand Strengthening exercise for the GPWA which can only be a good thing for all of us.

I would also be interested to go if there was a UK GPWA members conference / meeting.

All food for thought, what does everyone else think?

Guys, give Las Vegas hello from me. I couldn't arrive there. I hate flying by plane.

Looks like sponsorship for the conference is on the rise - I see a few "new" sponsors who we do not normally hear from! I've been passing the word to affiliate managers I work with - I think sometimes they get the hint and sign on!

Looking forward to seeing everyone! Only 6 days until I fly out, 9 until the start of the conferences!

Well, I think the idea of a GPWA logo badge is a good one, and it isn't too late. Today we printed up some GPWA stickers that can be affixed to the front of CAC badges. We will be giving them out at the GPWA conference, and also from the Casino City booth at the CAC conference. So, be on the lookout for GPWA logo stickies.

In terms of doing something overseas, that might be a possibility. Certainly we go to some overseas conferences, and so doing something adjacent to or in the evening around some of the conferences like ICEi, or EIG might work if there were enough interest.

You should run a poll after CAC Michael. I'd imagine there would be a lot of interest from us European Webmasters for starters. Also ICE in January was fairly well attended.

Or just wait and see what CAC does... What do you think the odds are of them trying again in Vegas next year? They just will not get enough sponsors. Are there any affiliate managers planning on being here this year? I suspect the North American CAC will be held in the caribbean or something next year, if it happens at all.

I agree. I doubt Marc will want to run it again in the US, until such time the US decides to regulate Online Gambling and not prohibit it.

Well done to Michael and his team for putting together a great pre-event get-together last night. The atmosphere and the networking was great - definitely the best gpwa event to date

Keep it up, and we look forward to the growth of the gpwa!
