Thumbs up GPWA forum registrations pass the 20,000 mark!

I'm very pleased to announce that the GPWA passed the 20,000* registered member mark this week! We have quite a crowd here with many more active members than any other iGaming affiliate focused site!

And if you are a member of Facebook, be sure to join the over 17,000 people that are fans of the GPWA. Just visit the Gambling Portal Webmaster Association Facebook fan page and click the like button.

And if you are a member of LinkedIn, be sure to join our LinkedIn group with over 3,500 members as well. Just visit the GPWA group on LinkedIn to join.

    * NOTE: The number of registered members is based on the number of users that have registered on the GPWA vBulletin forum and it includes members that are no longer active. The actual number of current members that receive the weekly GPWA Times e-mail newsletter is over 11,000. I provide this qualification on the number of registered members because the registered member count on forums powered by vBulletin can be quite deceptive by itself.

It doesn't "feel" like 20,000 or even 11,000. How many "registrations" are active?
How many visited the site in the last month? Or posted in the last month?

Very, very, very few of the visitors to the GPWA ever post anything - posters are an extremely small tip of a much larger iceberg. And very few visitors to the site actually log-in. In the last month there were over 3,000 users that visited the site multiple times (the average number of visits among those users was slightly over six). But of those, only about 1,000 were logged in when they visited the site. In terms of actual members posting, a little over 300 members made posts in the past month. Of those, about 100 made one post, about 50 made two posts, about 50 made three to five posts, and about 100 made six or more posts. Looking back over the past year, about 1,500 members posted. There are a very large number of folks who read the forums periodically, but only post once in a blue moon, if at all.

Congratulations Michael and the rest of the GPWA Crew. Keep up the good work!

It is nice to see these numbers Michael. I always wondered how many people were active on the board.

That's a good metric and still a very sizable reader base - well done!

30% of logged in users posted - that's a reasonable engagement level too! Outstanding for a forum I think.

Answer: "Very, very, very few of the visitors to the GPWA ever post anything - posters are an extremely small tip of a much larger iceberg."
    Heh It seems so.
The reason is simply, there are thousands of small affiliates. The majority do not make any dime from their affiliate links and being frustrated.
I wish we all could make thousands of $$$ every month. It's pretty impossible.
Active members are who makes some money and take care seriously about their affiliate businesses.
    I'm right?

Thanks for asking that Gooner, these are some impressive figures, and it's nice to see the actual numbers.

I personally think that we can do even better. In fact one of the many discussions Anthony and I have are centered around trying to find ways to raise that engagement level (without any kind of forced participation) not only among regular members here, but also new members.

The numbers Michael has posted are a very clear indication of how much value the GPWA truly provides, and every single one of those active members Michael mentioned can pat yourself on the back since YOU are all part of helping making this community what it is.
