Angry GPWA Seal Holder Sending SPAM! luck13 and askme

Ok, I am pissed now. It is bad enough that I get shed loads of spam from the regular Tom, Dick and Harry's of the world now I get spammed by a GPWA APPROVED PORTAL! This is just another case of a PRIVATE MEMBER and SEAL HOLDER behaving in an unethical manner! And to make it even better, no unsubscribe link, no physical address, no compliance with the Can-Spam act whatsoever! Just flipping bought a list or scraped the addy and spam-o-rama starts!

The members associated with askgamblers[dot]com are AskMe, Lucky13

Funny how one (askme) has a ZERO Post count and Lucky13 has not posted since late summer.

    From the rules:
An investigative team headed by GPWA's Fair Gaming Advocate has determined that this site:
    • Is managed independently of the online gambling websites it provides information about or promotes.
    • Respects and upholds copyright standards.
    • Does not send spam email. <-- not!
    • Does not use malicious search engine optimization techniques such as posting spam-like comments in forums and interactive blogs.
    • Does not promote or display pornography.
    • Provides consumers with information extending beyond banner advertisements and links.
    • Acts professionally and respectfully in its business activities. <-- not!

Anthony, the ball is in your court, PM me if you need more info. We need to put a rapid end to this mindless crap!

I will also be forwarding the mail onto Brightshare as well. This was a spam for AllSlots Casino.

The first step needed is to confirm whether it was genuinely from this sender as it is easy to spoof the sender details. This can be done by contacting the affiliate program to have them confirm whether the affiliate ID in the message belongs to this person.

Could you forward either Anthony or I a copy of the message?

I truly appreciate you coming in here to post up. That really says a lot. But, I guess I wonder how you got my email in your address book to begin with? I don't recall ever corresponding with you and you are not in my contact list.

    Hi Chips,

not sure. My address book is 5 years old and there are a thousands addresses. Maybe we speak about link exchange or something, I really can't say.

We never brought any email list or something similar, so only way how you could be in this list is via address book (if you never register on forum or subscribe to our newsletter).

Sorry again, all suspicious addresses will be removed immediately!

I have also received this email.

Since I do not ever trade links and am not on your forum or subscribed to your newsletter mailing list I am at a loss as to how my email address ended up on your mailing list.

Please remove my email address from your address book! Or better yet, delete the address book and begin over since the problem appears to be wide spread and there is no way to know what addresses to remove!

Sorry but I think your response above is not truthful. You must have scraped our emails from somewhere since I know for a fact that we have never corresponded via email!

As I am seeing more members posting up the contact and I had conversation with another over MSN yesterday... I am leaning more to a harvester issue. I am not swallowing we talked about links, I do not know you except for reading posts here.

Gotta love it...there's always an excuse.

Is GPWA private membership so easily granted? Private member with zero post-count? How does that work?

    Right, so what is?

I'm not angling for it, but all these private members with complaints against them - plus no board contribution - has made me curious.

Its a handfull amongst thousands and there have been more refused private membership than that figure too!

The integrity of the majority of private GPWA members is not in question over this and neither is the GPWA either. Although it is never nice to have unethical people in any walk of life.

You know, I hear this alot but when reading the rules, I get a different answer:

Participation - GPWA feels everyone has something to contribute, so all members are expected to participate on the board. If a member has not materially posted within a 60 day time frame, and hasnít notified anyone of extenuating circumstances, they may have membership removed, and will have to re-apply if they want to get back in.
So - Rick is right, post count is not a criteria. But participation is. And the number of private members who have never contributed is alarming.

    Caruso,

The criteria etc is listed here.
    https://www.gpwa.org/private_registration.asp

The violation and grievance process is being looked at more closely and being discussed also.

This will be in the private sections too ?

I asked for private membership to read stuff and learn now I can not see what is going on behind the curtains as it remains closed for me.

What I wanny say is I probably will be no great addition in terms of being active for whatever reason but on the other hand I miss some important information about several topics.......sigh.......

    Thanks.

Interesting. Criteria are not remotely onerous.

We do not accept portals that are 1-page "banner farms."
I wonder how you define "banner farms", since most sites are little more than that in my experience.

Maybe two or more pages, and you're good to go?

I suppose there's a realistic limit to how strigent the criteria for gambling portals can be.

Like I keep saying.... It's not a dead or growing trend however a majority of members here do use list or would if they could.

    Nice website Luck13..

    Keep up the great work
