I'm very pleased to report the twenty second issue of the GPWA Times Magazine is back from the printer and will be distributed at G2E in Las Vegas next week and at BAC and EiG in Barcelona the two weeks after that, and also mailed out to all of our members who have provided us with a mailing address (see details below to make sure we mail you a copy).
GPWA Times Magazine - Twenty Second Issue Cover
In the cover story for this issue, Joe Kelly and Frank Catania explain in great detail why the recent ruling in a U.S. federal court declaring poker "predominantly a game of skill" is one of the most significant decisions regarding poker and federal law ever rendered.
Then Vin Narayanan follows up with an analysis of the U.S. Department of Justice's PokerStars-Full Tilt Poker settlement.
Also in this issue, we share some great photos from the iGaming Super Show and the Niagara Falls CBG Affiliate Weekend. Jeremy Enke discusses how affiliates should approach affiliate managers when they are looking to sweeten a deal, Mike Litson offers affiliates excellent strategies for "future proofing" their SEO and Allan Petrilli shows us how creative promotions can increase player acquisition.
This issue features five new affiliate interviews: DanHorvat from Zagreb, DaveL from Wales, Lowrisk from Scarborough in the UK, mike65 who grew up in Bulgaria and lives in Brussels and rod.collins who grew up in California and now lives in Mexico. We also have three affiliate manager interviews - A.J. Wiley of Face Up Gaming, Luis Sandel of William Hill Online/Affiliates United and Nigel Ridgway of Bet365.
And there are the usual Departments - webmaster news, numbers, notable quotes, a calendar of upcoming industry happenings, an updated list of GPWA sponsors, the APCW Wall of Shame and an updated GPWA Seals list. A total of 225 new seals have been awarded since March of this year, for a current grand total of 2,539 recipient sites across 60 countries.
