Arrow GPWA Times Magazine - Issue 2

I'm very pleased to report the second edition of the GPWA Times Magazine is being printed as I type this post, and will be available at at the EIG and CAP Euro conferences in Barcelona next week.

GPWA Times Magazine - Second Issue Cover

Some of the feedback we got from the first issue of the magazine was to try to include more material from members.

We've taken this feedback to heart. The new issue includes interviews with seven GPWA members (aksana, chalkoutline, katsmeownvista, kaus, nandakishore, pablo, and webzcas). They've all given us honest, heartfelt, thoughtful feedback about what they've seen and learned. When you read through their interviews you'll be impressed and moved. I know I was prouder than ever to be a part of this community and I think you will be too.

We've also included lots of other great information (the issue is 52 pages long). Our cover story on Malta takes a close look at why online gaming sites are lining up to be licensed there. One reason is that Malta-registered sites can advertise on British TV - which is the subject of another story. Antigua is hoping its sites will also be OK'ed for U.K advertising very soon; we have an article on the tough Texas lawyer they've hired to argue their WTO case against the US. And there is much more. I've even written an article covering some of Casino City's research on changes in the online gaming market.

Of course, if you are not able to pick up a copy in person at the CAP Euro conference next week, we would be happy to mail you a copy. If you are already registered on the GPWA site, then to subscribe to the GPWA Times Magazine just click on the "User Control Panel" option under the "Forums" menu bar navigation item. Then from within the control panel, select "Edit Profile." If you fill in your mailing address information in your profile, we will mail a copy of the magazine to you and we'll also include the first issue if we have not already sent you one. If you are not already registered on the GPWA website, then just click "Register" on the navigation bar, and follow the "Register Now" link on that page, being sure to provide your mailing address when you register.

UPDATE: All past issues of the GPWA Times Magazine are now available online. Just click on the following link to see the second issue:

I was hoping we'd see a 2nd edition soon! I am so happy to see more members included and can't wait for my copy. There are so many terrific members here I don't think you'll have to worry about running out of material.

I still brag...erm...show mine around to friends and family lol. I also made a page and posted it for players and visitors.

I know the staff works very hard on this and it shows. I am very proud to be a part of this community. Well Done and congrats to the featured members!

This is the first time I've gotten to see the publication of the magazine itself -- I have to admit I'm very impressed. The layout is attractive, and the interviews are nothing short of stellar. Congrats to everyone that made it...especially my girl Cheryle (Kaus)!

Yes, we mail them out using the postal service. However, you need to give us your mailing address in order for us to do that. See the last paragraph of the initial post I made in this thread for directions about how to edit your profile to include your postal mailing address.

Sorry, just read until the line about the pdf format and went to view it.

I have my mailing address in already, I must have missed the first one?

Are they sent out automatically if the address is registered?

    Thanks

Yes, we send them out automatically if you've provided us with your mailing address as part of your profile information. And we have a few extra copies of the first issue, so our intent is to include the first issue when we mail the second for those to whom we have not already sent the first issue.

Well, it will be in a little while. The people who have received the new issue so far have been at either or both of the EiG and CAP Euro conferences where they got their copy. Mailing them out will be done this week.

So, be sure to add your mailing address if you would like to get a copy. See the directions at the end of the first post in this thread.
