Thumbs up GPWA Times magazine issue 20 available at iGB France in Paris next week

I'm very pleased to report the twentieth issue of the GPWA Times Magazine is back from the printer and will be distributed at iGB France in Paris on Monday and Tuesday of next week (26-27 March 2012), and also mailed out to all of our members who have provided us with a mailing address (see details below to make sure we mail you a copy).

The new issue will also be distributed at the eGR Power 50 and Power Affiliate Summits in London and GIGSE in San Francisco in April.

GPWA Times Magazine - Twentieth Issue Cover

In our cover story, Aaron Todd brings us up to date on the increasing sophistication and growth of live dealer gaming, a market that saw $18.7 billion in wagers in 2008 and is expected to see $40.8 billion in wagers in 2012 - and a market with very high player retention and conversions.

Also in this issue: John Ekman explains why SERP shouldn't be your only concern with working to enhance your Google rank, Paul Reilly offers tips for dealing with the filters and penalties associated with link buying and selling, we give you an inside look at our January trip to London and Sarah Robertson shows us that when it comes to player promotions not all verticals are created equal.

Then we have variations on the same theme: Martin Owens makes the case for state rather than federal regulation of online gambling in the USA, Sanford I. Millar discusses how U.S. online gambling could be taxed, and Vin Narayanan reluctantly comes to the conclusion that it's going to be a bit of a wait before widespread regulation of any sort becomes a reality. Rounding out this issue, Hai Ng talks about cyber security and Jereme Enke emphasizes the importance of brand recognition for online poker.

on fractured online gaming markets around the world, comes in six pieces: Vin Narayanan, Anna Sainsbury, Frank Pracukowski and I. Nelson Rose discuss different aspects of the U.S. side of the story, while Yehoshua Gurtler ("Thanks for nothing!) and Melanie Ellis recap some of what's been going on in the EU and the U.K.

This issue features five new affiliate interviews: betapuestas from Spain, BiggDawgg from Illinois, Madabout Media from the UK, NickyV from Serbia, and thebookiesoffers from Leicester in the UK. We also have two affiliate manager interviews - Dmitry Bodrov of Lotos Affiliates and Nick Vlachos of Yachting Poker Affiliates (B3W).

And there are the usual Departments - industry news, numbers, notable quotes, and updated list of GPWA sponsors, cartoon caption contest, a visit to the GPWA forums, the APCW Wall of Shame and our calendar of upcoming industry happenings.

This issue also includes a list of the affiliate sites that have met the qualifications for displaying the GPWA Seal of Approval since May of last year. A total of 369 seals have been awarded in that time span. There are not 2,386 sites across 60 countries that carry the seal!

I'm looking forward to read this issue. I'm pleased that the live dealer niche is getting the spot light. The retention and conversions are fantastic. I can't wait to read it.
    Cheers!
