I'm very pleased to report the twenty ninth issue of the GPWA Times Magazine is now available online and at the Amsterdam Affiliate Conference being held today and tomorrow. It will also be distributed at the CBG Affiliate Weekend in Niagara Falls and Global iGaming Summit and Expo (GiGse) next month. This issue will also be mailed out to our members in a couple weeks (together with the previous issue and the iGaming Pocket directory), so you have a couple weeks to provide us with your mailing address if you would like a hard copy (see details below to make sure we mail you a copy).
In this issue's cover story, Lorien Pilling discusses the U.K. government's decision to switch to a point of consumption tax. Vin Narayanan interviews Optimal Payments CEO Joel Leonoff, who offers insights into the payment processing world, and MTI's David Hobson, who talks about the importance of data and cyber security.
Aaron Todd takes a look at skill gaming affiliate opportunities with a special focus on GSN Games (the Game Show Network) that offers online skill games based on well-known proprietary game brands like Wheel of Fortune, Deal or No Deal, Bejeweled and Plants vs. Zombies. Harry Bienenstock of Income Access shows why affiliates should take a fresh look at social gaming, Ed Yates of Blueclaw shares the results of a Q&A session on Google penalties, David Waddell and Dustin Ford discuss regulations for licensing would-be suppliers to the emergent U.S. online gaming industry, Jeremy Enke shows how that emergence has created a new era of marketing, and Dan Podheiser returns to New Jersey to see how online gaming in the Garden State is doing after its first seven months, and how it's affecting affiliates.
This issue features three interviews with GPWA affiliates: BetVega from Philadelphia and now living in New York, dapbet from Durham in the U.K., and sweetbet from Canberra. We also have three affiliate manager interviews: Adnan Malso of Affiliate Republik, Chris Zelver of Prime Gaming, and Hannah Green of bet365.
Inside you'll also find notable news and quotes, an event calendar, a discussion from the GPWA forums on building traffic at a new site, and our induction of the AGA into APCW Wall of Shame.
