Default GPWA Times Magazine - Reaping the benefits of blockchain technology

By adding ease of use, trusted transactions and speedier payments to the online casino experience, this oftentimes scorned decentralized technology should be universally embraced by players, operators and affiliates.

I will be again the a-hole who is no fun at parties.

The provably fair casino is a bullshit. Players maybe do not trust that casinos are fair, but in fact they do not want the proof that they are playing the games where they can not win. Gamblers deep inside want to lose, that is why they are playing. Provably fair casino that will say: "Oh you slot player, you keep losing 2.37% with each spin, here is the proof, so try as you want, but you are the same loser in life as in this game" will never be popular. Satoshi dice exists for decade and there is no revolution. It is a fringe market.

Provably fair affiliate software would be great, it is long time technologically doable, I liked that idea long time ago and nearly started a project, but in fact nobody from operators want it. They want to steal, they want the control. There will be no change until the big gambling companies start to have legal problems. And even after it is highly questionable that affiliate stats will be on blockchains, because we affiliates are pack of fragmented pussies. And the biggest affiliates are the old geezers, who can barely understand how to pay with bitcoin.

Tl;Dr This is not about technology, but about psychology.

Pretty much. It's there so that slot reviewers can write it's there...and no one will ever use it.

Anyone who thinks that a blockchain is going to eliminate shaving or shady affiliate program practices is deluded. If you don't know why, google "blockchain oracle problem" and do some reading. A blockchain is not a magic solution to unlimited problems, in most cases its just a very slow and inefficient way to store data.

You're still going to have to rely on an affiliate program to honestly and accurately tag a referred customer. Affiliate programs will still be able to contact players via side channels such as email or phone and encourage them to open up a new untagged account at another property they control. Players will still be ripped off by operators using fine print to deny payments (maybe even in the smart contracts themselves). There are already documented cases of casinos running "provably fair" games that have been caught cheating, or only running "provably fair" when the player actually bothers to check, which is almost never. Shaving and rip-offs will still happen.

Sorry but I don't see this as being the revolutionary step forward that the boosters want us to believe.

That is about as meaningful as stating that the heat death of the universe is also the future.

Do you have anything of value to add to the discussion or are you just wasting our time by posting garbage to get a link back to your website?
