I don't think so many affiliates did know about this beta test software they did until well after the fact. I didn't know about this until the program had already closed. Grand Prive certainly didn't tell us all then that their program was crap.

We did complain about the new program, and often. Many of us stated in posts that we wish they'd go back to the old program, at least until the new one had the bugs worked out. Because affiliates were complaining about the new software from the get go.

I liked the old Referspot program a lot. I didn't hear anyone complaining about the stat tracking then. I certainly didn't. So why did they change? And why didn't they change back? And WHY didn't they have a backup of the Referspot data? If they did, what happened to it? Why wasn't it included with the eCOGRA audit? And where are the Legacy Referspot players now, untagged? They can't move any of our legacy Referspot players to to their new affiliate program they're launching, IF they lost them as I've heard rumored.

Considering all that's happened and the lack of communication from them, if they were seriously wanting affiliates to reconsider anything, they should have some courage and put someone here on the affiliate forums to participate in our threads. I doubt that'll happen though.

They have settled with some affs who were owed money from the referspot legacy, but not all of them. They are paying pennies on the dollar.

Last offer I had for my substantial claim was 50 cents on the dollar. I have not yet settled.
    Hi Dominique,

When you're talking about a settlement of 50 cents on the dollar, are you referring to the Online Claim Submission Form claims collated by eCOGRA or are you referring to something else?

Considering all that's happened and the lack of communication from them
In the end i think that says it all right there.

How are we affs suppose to think anything but the worst when things went down as they did.

Communication has always been a problem especially with some of the MGS networks but that is by their own doing/choosing, not because of anything on the part of the affs.

Now as I understand it they are using a different parent software company. Are there any other casinos out there using same software that you could offer your players? Has that company proven to blatantly ignore existing contracts and obligations which need I remind that (and I say this as a player) it is very much appreciated if you would send me to the casino run by the company which has not proven to break the one code of gambling which is paramount for the atmosphere to stay attractive to gamblers and that is that you pay your debts!

If you owe somebody ... you pay them. Nobody stays in business long with a reputation for reneging on a bet.

Well how GP treated their partners, is a huge wake up call to me as a player that if you treat somebody who MAKES you money in such manner, what chances are mine when comes the day I win way more money than it is obvious I will ever likely play back, that this bunch won't find some way to weasel out of paying me.

There's really no argument. What is done is done and for that reason alone I couldn't really feel comfortable listing their properties.

Had they approached the matter in a more honorable manner then I might feel differently but as has been done ... who could sincerely say they feel confident this bunch won't pull a "GP" on their players at some point?

I mean, You can't get sh#t to roll uphill so you know the software company is going to get its money which means there's only 2 parties which they could screw over which would be their affs and their players so now that the affs are gone ...

Best hope they don't encounter any problems because history is the best prediction of the future, and we know what they did last time there was a little trouble, they cut the line below their weight and let fall.
Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

Well, that claim form alotted some ridiculous sum to me, because it left out the Referspot legacy players. Same with many other claimants.

I met with GP in Vegas last fall (they sought me out there) and I explained to them what had happened re. the legacy players.

Firstly, they showed me the correspondence between them and MGS, and IMO it was clear that MGS failed miserably when transferring players etc from the Referspot platform to the MGS platform. GP was under heavy fire from affs and MGS moved along at snails pace and never fixed the issues.

Eventually GP just closed the program - which hurt affs even more and was a very poor decision IMO.

No idea why they didn't just switch back to the working Referspot system...

Anyway, since their departure from MGS they have no access to most data anymore. They do, however, have payment records for affs going back quite a ways and can therefor determine the average monthly comissions earned.

Based on that, they owe me a big chunk of money and that is what they are offering to pay 50 cents on the dollar on.

They have settled with a number of claimants. I do not know what type of settlement, they settled with people on an individual basis.

I am not happy with 50 cents on the Dollar, and I guess they think it's still decent money and I'll rather take it than nothing.

Settling with lots of others gives them more leverage over me - if everyone takes down their blacklistings mine likely won't rank so well anymore. So I'll be forgoing payment for no good reason - most others have settled and removed the blacklist.

This is where my curiosity comes in... If it was MGS who didn't migrate the players over, why couldn't they have reverted back? I can't imagine that any company run well would discard data so they should still have had it somewhere... unless that's not the case then I can see why they chose to close the aff program.. not saying it was the right thing to do, but I understand why they did it..

Instead though IMO they would have been better off telling affs exactly what was happening and to bare with them while they try to sort it out.. they would have gained far more credibility with affs for doing that and affs should have realised at that point they are being honest and stuck with them.

In saying that, some people aren't happy with anything.. and you can't please everyone.

Thanks for the info.. This is all very interesting.
