    Hope this helps
Until recently I also never had problems boosting or promoting my posts, but suddenly ads got disapproved, saying: because it's gambling related, the ad needs to be pre-approved by Facebook.
Ok, so I've sent them a message asking how to apply for approval. They answered that I needed pre-approval..... I asked again, how do I apply? Once again the answer was: your ads need pre-approval....duhhhhhh very helpful, NOT!

It reminded me of similar conversations in the early days with AdWords. Saying you did something wrong, but not saying what exactly is wrong and how to correct it. Very annoying.

I continued boosting my ads and got more and more disapprovals. Yet still no answer to my question how to apply. Finally I received a message saying that I breached their T&C's too often and that my advertising account has been disabled, without any possibility to get it re-actived again. Morons!

I used to spend between 10-30k a month with Facebook. Now I am lucky if they let me spend 1k! They have really clamped down on gambling, and told it will get worse.

I know this may sound silly, but did you turn a profit on that money spent directly? Or was the traffic more slightly breakeven, losing money, but making up for it in ancillary benefits? type of deal?

I have heard a few success stories using tweeter and facebook. They didn't bother with SEO, instead they promoted their sites heavily thru social media. And the cost was not huge.

Default I know a few who did and I am looking for some one who could promote my brands

The Ads T&C section on Facebook appears to suggest that all gambling advertisement, promotion etc. Is not allowed, unless you get written permission. Although being Facebook it doesn't make it clear where one can write to them for permission. However, there are many Ads and pages being run on Facebook promoting various gambling websites; it seems contradictory to their T&C.

So I was just wondering if anyone has dealt with Facebook running their ads in the past, and how easy it was to do?
I know a few who did

I used Facebook to promote 11 sites, and we had some good followers, but only via promotions and giveaways on the facebook page.

I have seen a lot of gaming related pages belong to affiliates on Facebook but i am not 100% sure if you can pay to advertise gaming on FB but my gut says if you advertising to a fully regulated Market Say Italy and only advertising licensed Casinos in that region their shouldn't be an issue but again I'm no expert I'm sure they would be Happy to assist if you mailed them.

    Hello,
I`ve read all replys to this topic in search for a way to contact Facebook regarding that prior approval. As far as i saw some of you got contacted and being asked like 30.000 /month.
I do have this budget for advertising but still no way to contact them and spend it Anyone can send me a contact please?
I used to ran ads, but eventually they locked the account saying i need this prior approval but no way or a clue how/where to apply.
Its quite annoying after spending 10.000`s of EUR
    Thank you

I tried it with some projects in the past but just for the likes. Conversion was at the time not that great.
For their guidelines I can image it makes a difference on what way you provide your content on Facebook. Just focused on news or pushing conversions with bonuses.

I have used facebook for promoting my gambling site and also my sports betting site. Got plenty of likes but I can't really say that any real business has been channelled to sites as a result.

I wanted to advertise my site with fb help, but the prices are too high for my budget for that time.
Now I get back to those idea again.
So do you think about it?
Has anyone noticed the effect from this strategy?

Like many have said, if you want to run gambling advertising on facebook, you will be quoted monthly minimums of $30,000 to $50,000.

there are a handful of threads here that discuss this.

thats an unbelievable minimum, surely thats enough of a budget to have a go at adwords? I would imagine facebook traffic has a much lower value. Like you my newsfeed is full of these ads, but i imagine that is because i am usually monitoring the popular affiliates fb pages.

I occasionally promote tips articles for UFC and get them through no problem with tiny budgets.
