Default Have you used Facebook advertising?

Going over my Facebook page, I see I can create an ad with an estimate of the number of Likes I will receive for money money. $5 per day suggests between 5 and 19 Likes, with similar multiples per budget.

Has anyone used this, and did it pay off? It seems a fun thing to try, $1800 per year works out around £1200 for an estimate of between 1825 Likes to 6900 Likes.

I recently ran a Facebook ads campaign to get more likes with a daily budget of £5 and I would say it was quite successful. I ran it for about 2 weeks and obtained around 130+ likes.

I didn`t do it (yet), but I had friends who did it (not gambling websites). I think it`s ok to try it, but in my opinion investing large amounts of money just won`t cut it. The likes are usually not best quality, and the more you invest, the more the like value is diluted.

I repeat, I didn`t invest in facebook promotion, but from what my friends did and my social media experience, I am sticking with my opinion

I have tried it, to be honest more for bragging rights "Look how many likes my page has got". I just wanted to see what happens. I targeted the UK, 18+ of course, had a few more criterias.

To be honest quite many, people who weren't in the UK, and weren't Over 18, hit the budget. Why? Cause people can simply put whatever they want for Location and Age, and yes many lie, which messes up your advertising campaign and the targeted traffic you wanna reach.

It's different for everybody I'd assume, so spending 50-100$ is not that much just to see what happens.

Facebook ads has excellent options for targeting your specific demographic, especially the target interests section. So I can't see how any likes you get can be poor quality unless you're tricking people Into liking something that isn't what you say it is.

I never tried it yet, but it's worth a experiment. I'll advertise my fan page once I revamp the design.

@benji Well , like xecutable said, many people lie about age and location. Also, many people find themselves liking pages by mistake, since the like button is all over facebook (this is an actual fact). Others just 'like' on an instinct, and the second day they are like "what`s this? Unlike". It is not necesarily poor quality, but for sure lower quality than people who enter your website, appreciate it and like it on fb.

I think these are fake likes and I didn't spend money in all that. It is good to get genuine likes rather than running compaign.
