I wanted to ask a question here.
IF a Forum was removing valid posts in secret from members that criticized their sponsors in secret(no notice to poster, no message to readers) and hoping no one noticed, would that be considered "Scummy"/"Scammy" or even Criminal?
It would never be considered illegal/criminal, not at any point.
Whether it was scummy/scammy would be completely down to the forum users own opinion. I'd personally say it's extremely low, especially if the forum is meant to be an honest opinion board which it's users can rely on.
I'd like to be clear what my philosophy is as Executive Director of the GPWA. It is pretty simple:
1. Spam posts can be removed by moderators. They are not deleted, but rather moved so they are no longer visible so we have a record of the spam post.
2. When a moderator has a question about the appropriateness of a post, they may temporarily moderate the post (which results in it not being visible), while an appropriate resolution is determined. My view is that it is appropriate to notify the poster this is the situation if the post will remain in a moderated state for very long.
3. When posts have personal attacks, the attacks can be edited from the post, but when this is done the moderator making the edit should identify the nature of the edit made so it is clear that the post has been altered.
4. When posts have personal information, the personal information can be edited from the post, but when this is done the moderator making the edit should identify the nature of the edit made so it is clear that the post has been altered.
5. Videos that are not related to the gaming industry, and that are not posted in the "fun diversions" forum may be deleted. I would expect the moderator to notify the poster when this is done (although not every time in the case of repeated instances).
6. When posts are viewed as off-topic, they can be removed to a separate thread. Multiple posts related to a common topic can also be moved from the thread(s) where they were originally posted to a separate thread dedicated to the topic.
I'm sure the above list is missing some items (for example, we don't allow porn to be posted on the site), but I do believe it provides a flavor of what I view as appropriate. But since I'm not normally involved in moderating posts on the site, it is quite likely that some instances of moderation have gone down a different path than what I would recommend.
I tend to be a strong advocate of free speech, and will gladly personally investigate any specific issues where any member feels a post has been inappropriately edited or deleted. And I will openly discuss and explore any issues of inappropriateness on that front in the private members forum area dedicated to "GPWA Planning and Policy Discussions."

The 1st two postings come back into the forum from the moderation queue after i complaint by Anthony. And the story about the (singer) video in the 2nd of these both post is crazy. Really crazy!
The 3rd harmless satirical posting was deleted completely and not only the video!
The 4th time a personal consecration was distorted, and i myself must post it again to recover the consecration.
At no time i was notified by PM about these things happenend behind me.
At no time the (same?) moderator have made an edit notice.

Personal insults against me were visible for months!
For months!
I have missed the person to do her/his work as a moderator!
Distorting and deleting harmless posts is easy.
I have put many links to the insults.
But no one cares.
Until universal4 screwed up his courage and deleted the insults.
This is the truth and not a glorious chapter. I can handle this.

The GPWA Planning and Policy Discussions forum is the forum where policy considerations are discussed. Yes, it is in an area of the forum accessible only to private members because the GPWA is a private members organization even though much of the discussion here is open to the public. In terms of policy decisions, I view it is appropriate for me to be accountable to the private members here, and I take feedback from private member discussions very seriously. Conversely, while I do pay attention to what public members have to say, I do not view they have a formal role in deciding policies.Quote:

1st of all i will say public, that universal4 is allways acting like a model. You can rely on him. He is professional, yet remains human. Never arrogant or dishonest and shows character. He can admit mistakes and is writing posts with big effort. In all the months since I've been here, he has not had a single bad day.

if you will read the following words, then be sure, that i can feel with you.
Yesterday, the words of law, i repeat: THE PUBLIC WORDS OF LAW was censored from a moderator because a affiliate manager from Malta was crying for it. It's a serious issue about the Malta law and online gambling, the industry, and i have never heard from any forum before, that words of law will be censored, only outside the free world.
The post included the proof that this law exist with a link to the official and public source to the Malta government and a picture with the original screenshot of the law! These things must proved with screenshots and links! I did it but the proof, the public words of law, the link, it was censored!
Furthermore, a positive feedback from me to a sponsor was isolated in a new thread and in this way manipulated. It was an answer to a question from a guy, who don't like the sponsor and only want negative feedback.
His posts are still "Off-Topic" in the old thread, unanswered again, only my (positive) feedback was isolated.
Its very sad but the truth, if i say:
It's proven, that this forum is
-censoring a post with the proof (link and law screenshot of the public words of law) and comments to a serious issue of the law of Malta because a affiliate manager from Malta (Cherry Affiliates) was crying for it (reporting a post).
-isolating and in this way manipulating positive feedback to a Platinum sponsor in way only morons don't see, what's going on. It's no eye defect. I am talking about manipulating positive feedback!

gpwa is always fast by editing and doing things when it comes to comments about their Sponsors, but if someone attack an affiliate by revealing private infos they just dont care
one affiliate manager stole €1000 from me, where the post was deleted of personal infos .. my God he stole it not even the site scammed me .. it was an worker and i need to care about private infos ?
Next time when someone got murdered pls dont reveal any personal infos, they just dont care .. its all about making few bucks and nothing about saving anyone from anything
I would like to emphatically state that is not true. Whenever GPWA moderators receive a report that private information has been improperly posted it is promptly reviewed and acted upon. Moderators will also act on their own if they observe an issue that has not been reported. If there appears to be any difference in treatment it would be due entirely to the fact that sponsor programs do tend to pay attention to their forums and report issues when they occur. For example, like all forums, we are sometimes the victim of spammers, and when spammers post within an affiliate program forum, the affiliate program will typically report that to us right away.Quote:
