    Default Help! Gambling Traffic

    Hello
I'm a webmaster of casino/poker related website (we got casino reviews, forums with a growing community and more...)

We want to invest about 100-500$ in gambling traffic.
I've already paid for popup traffic that's gets me nothing but high bandwidth without any gamblers.

What is the best ad for this website category? (Popup, text link, banner, flash banner?)

And where I can buy a gambling related traffic that will get me visitors and gamblers?
If anyone familiar with these things ill be glad if he'll contact me at: win@winonlinepoker.com

    Regards
    fred

I would open a google ad account. Not sure there are any "golden" ad spaces out there right not and I doubt anyone would share them if they had any. Google I find has less complaints

I use Overture quite a bit at the moment, especially for my new site. If you word the ad carefully, you're then only paying for clicks from people that have an interest in what your offering. If you do this go for a large quantity of lesser searched terms, that way your getting the same amount of traffic but not spending stupid money on terms like 'online casinos'.

Overture sucks big time. They like to dictate what terms you can bid on. I tried entering the term "microgaming viper casinos" and they turned it down because it wasn't on their "list of approved keywords". I have a page explicitly for "microgaming viper casinos". I'd just like to know who the hell died and made them GOD.

I agree, they do suck as far as their 'accepted terms'. But...I do get reasonable results and if you submit BIG lists with loads of search terms on a subject, imo it's getting back at them as they have to wade through them all and process them all for free I tend to get only about 60% accepted.

What constitutes getting on the "approved terms" list is the frequency with which it is searched thru their system. This is not done manually but is calculated every bi-monthly to stay fresh. Like if Janet Jackson flashes her boob at the Super Bowl and all of a sudden everyone wants to see more of Janets boob it becomes an "approved keyword". After demand for Janet abates it drops out of the list. Thats all.

My experience with them is not that the frequency of searches counts, rather whether they deem a term to be definitely gambling related and in their gambling related terms lists eg 'bingo fortune' 14667 searches - not approved.

bingo fortune is a copyrighted name PAW. I wouldnt approve it either regardless of the number of searches less I wanted to be sued.

I think we both may be right here. I have spoken with Overture employees that have explained to me this is how it works. Then again - that was quite a while ago.

    well, keno is also copyrighted.

Somehow someone has also managed to copyright catfish! And since I run catfishworld.tk that pisses me of, they won't let me have catfish.tk

Hmm if some people are not listed would that mean that bids will start to drop for a few days before they fully close it all down?
