Default Hero Affiliates Starts Bundling - August 1st

Just received the following that Hero Affiliates will start bundling effective August 1st.

Please be advised that, as per Hero Affiliates T&Cs section 6.1, from the 1st August 2020 Hero Affiliates will start bundling monthly revenue share commissions inside each individual affiliate account. This means that revenue share commissions deriving from various brands and products inside one individual account will be offset against each other before calculating the revenue share due.

I've never found NCO and Bundling a fair way to go for any affiliates, obviously. Especially the Bundling of brands together.

I mean, why should one brand have anything at all to do with another brand? What's the deal with that? Very discouraging to register with these types of affiliate programs that make it harder for their affiliates to actually earn properly and get paid.

That's one way to drive prospective affiliates away from conducting business with them.

I don't think the bundling in itself is the problem issue.
Example, if the group has a 500 minimum payment and you have 2 brands you make 260 each, unbundled you may not get paid, but bundled you do.

The problem is when bundled and negatives come into play, you might make 600 at 1 brand and minus 400 at another and then not get paid because the bundled total is under the minimum.

So depending on the scenario, it can go either way.

You make an excellent and valid point, Rick. I never thought of it in that way and no one has thoroughly explained it to me before. It never crossed my mind. I appreciate the example and helpful insight. Now I have a much clearer picture and better understanding of how it all works together.

You're right. It's much worse if you were to have both negative carry over and bundling working against you. That's an entirely different situation and taking into consideration the scenario is just as important.
