Welcome Sara, good luck with the site. The editorial independence angle is genuinely worth flagging — most affiliates wave that flag and then quietly tilt toward whoever's paying best, so if you actually mean it, that's already a real differentiator.
One practical suggestion since you're in the review section. Before the more experienced folks here dig in, run the site through Lighthouse yourself (it's built into Chrome DevTools, or via PageSpeed Insights at pagespeed.web.dev). Mobile profile especially. It'll surface a lot of the things people would otherwise point out one by one — performance, accessibility, SEO basics, best practices — with concrete numbers and specific fixes. Aim for green across all four categories. It's a lot less painful to fix what the audit catches yourself than to have it pointed out in a thread.
One thing I noticed quickly that the audit will probably also catch — there are a couple of spots where text contrast is rough, the search box and at least one of the CTAs. The text is close enough to the background that it's hard to read, which both hurts conversion and shows up as an accessibility flag. Worth tweaking the theme colours there. Probably a 10-minute fix in the WordPress customiser.
Otherwise looks like a solid foundation to build on. Welcome aboard.
