    Default Hi Everyone!

I've been a member of GPWA for a couple of months now and find it very informative. I thought it would be about time to post something as I view the forums often and find that most of my questions get answered without having to ask. I do have one at the moment and this may not be the correct section for it...just smack me on the nose with the newsletter and straighten me out if this is the case. C-PAYs? I am affiliated with these guys and have a good rapport going on with my acount manager but I have read some bad things about these guys...can anyone share their opinions on this group?

    Thanks!!!

I have posted many times over the years about this group....and have been smacked in the hiney many times for defending them.

First, let me state that I have never once had an issue getting paid what I was owed by them....never. (there are many other more-respected groups out there that I can't say this about)

HOWEVER, their recent moves to change the terms of service to show in writing a starting commission of 10% and requiring monthly new player minimums to reach the 25% mark is totally affiliate UN-friendly.

Stating then that this is only done to legally protect them from fraudulent affiliates is a slap in the face.

They should understand that affiliates need to protect themselves legally and that we must base many of our decisions upon what is contained within the terms of service that we aggree to with affiliate companies, so the mere fact that the 10% is stated in the terms means THAT is the term we are bound by.

With the current climate it is difficult enough to convert Playtech properties that there are many other choices among PT's that I suggest taking a closer look at others.

If you have a good relationship with CPays now, GREAT.

I hope that come to realize their terms need to become more friendly like they used to be.

    Default great

Well Im for one glad you finally posted. welcome to the fold.

If you have a good thing going with their affiliate manager than thats great. But I suggest you keep it simple and dont expect to much. I for one have chatted on msn with their support and affiliate manager and I get promised one thing and then they just forget about you. Its unfortunate but I think their casinos are ok, but as far as working on anything special for your website or forum...forget it. They only want you to promote them and never give anything in return. I offered some space on my forum and they said ok, send us an email. Three emails later, no response. This has happened 3 or 4 times over the years and finally I decided to just boot them and promote other casinos. Maybe there is a language issue like there is at many casinos.

Dont let my experience discourage you, they may be excellent for you and whatever works as anafiliate is what you should persue.

    I wish you the best.

Default Thanks Guys for the info!

They apparently are upgrading their affiliate software but I don't know about upgrading our percentages or perks at the moment. I do get a lot of stuff like put our banners up front and we will see what we can do, then it's "oh, you need to bring us depositing players before we can give you any bonus deals" I do get that alot from most casinos, a catch 22 situation...give me the bonuses and I will bring ya the players, bring us the players and we will give ya the bonuses...yada yada yada. I was helping a new forum owner recently with some codes as we have proboards which require changing everything to UBBC...pain in the *** she asked how do I start a contest, offer money out of my pocket for one or do I ask the casino for help? I thought it was funny as just 3 months ago I did not even care what html or ubbc was and was wondering why the heck all these codes were a pain in the butt. I never thought once about offering my own money to the players. From day one I pounded the keys bonus "hoing" in a whole new way. I just e-mailed her back and said you do what ya want, but to me that's what the casinos are for to win money from...I be darn if I am gonna give people that don't deposit anyway, my hard earned money to just be a member of my forum to suck up my bonus codes. I know we have to lure them in with something, but my first contest was a flop and annoying as crap to deal with. Anyway, thanks again and I appreciate ya letting me vent a little...this is not an easy road to success like some would believe. I thought all I would have to do is slap up a few banners, wake up rich and head out to the casino boat...lol. That's what I get for thinking! It is not easy being a one man show and competing with the big boys that have been at it for awhile. I work about 12 hours a day on this stuff and part-time at a convenience store since I was ditched from my job as a medical coder for 15 years due to a corporate takeover. I started this in hopes of not having to work for the "Man" anymore. Still hoping, but I am learning quite a bit and it is never boring. Thanks for welcoming me aboard!
