    I am no expert..

Looks to me like someone is scraping content from all around the gaff, making automated webpages and websites with multiple links on the page. The odds are 1, or some of the links go to a site they own, and have aff links on.

Finding out which one(s) though, would maybe be very difficuly, but very unlikely to be impossible, if one has the time.

Yip, spent 5 or so minutes going around and around in circles, some links go to other scraped websites and/or webpages, some go to sites like the Wizard of Odds and other types of websites, too many too mention.

A link maze of website after webpage after website on various domains with multiple subdomains, on and on forever. Somewhere in that jumble of rubbish, is the target or targets.

    Hi all (Z)

these people doing this sort of stuff .... will get their due.

when you live with such lack of scruples ..... its easy (I suppose) to not see the right side of the picture.

what amazes me most is these people have SO much more knowledge than myself .... which could be used to do things the right way and prosper .....

instead they invite doom and misery into their lives by choosing the dark side. go ahead and laugh if you're one of those. But the next time your life SUCKS! .. remember its not too late to change your way of doing things.

it all comes around. I'm 43 .... I know what I'm talking about.
Almost Here! How would you like to be able to get not just one sign up from your player, or even a couple, but every single casino they join from here on? I've a plan that can make that happen and it will likely also tell you every time the player is active within the casino.

Thanks, bb1, you are correct. I do not have the skill to achieve what that person(s) has done by stealing others work in such an extraordinary convoluted manner. I think, too, it is such a waste of talent.

Thanks, Rick. I also looked the "whois" info up and I had my web host block their dns from my site entirely. I was going to email, but its probably such a circle jerk that I didn't bother. I figured blocking them will at least slow them down in the future.

Thanks to everyone. (Its probably the DoJ anyway). LOL

Very unfortunate Ziggy maybe acquiring the necessary skills to protect your property would pay off. I can certainly appreciate why some just canít be bothered. But being a Webmaster without learning a certain degree of technical skills puts your self in this position. Generally when people read a book they start at the beginning. Out of ten chapters becoming a Webmaster takes up half a chapter, few read beyond.

For myself people who steal other peopleís work are scum. I donít like and find is very nauseating. But become a master Webber then you will know how to take care of business.

The person stealing your content is a highly skilled person. HE operates under several domains and servers. What HE has done is 404 his main domain and created thousands of sub domains. Scraping content is HIS game and has been doing it for a long time.

    Good Luck Ziggy

    Some good news?

Not sure ZIG but is this still a problem? I am showing a DNS error for the url provided? I guess it could pop up again but I highly doubt it will with your content.

    Thanks, Greek.

No, the problem seems to be going away (although another site popped up), in that case I contacted the Domain host, the web host, ICANN, Google and just about everybody in the world. Also SBS sports whose affiliate linked I found on the site (although it was rotating different banners for different sportsbooks).

I am sure they will just move onto someone else, but at least for now things seemed to have quieted down.

Whilst this is time consuming this is definately the right way in tackling the problem and is also the most cost effective. Glad to hear it has worked

    Hi All,

Keep up the fight against these types, good luck!
It's good to let everyone know about the offending sites. That way we can all check our sites and also be aware of the offending webmaster.

I'm not sure if this is a good idea but here it is. We should have a sticky post and list the confirmed offending sites to make it as easy as possible for the Affiliate Managers to see these offending sites at a glance within one post.

    Thank You,

My longer-term view is that it would make sense to build a list of rogue sites (representing the opposite end of the spectrum from GPWA approved portals). But over the near-term I've been having our development group focus more on the carrot end of the spectrum of things we can do rather than on the stick end of the spectrum.

This is my last post before leaving for CAC since my plane flight is not that long from now.

    Hi all,

sponsor responsibility will be the deciding factor in such matters.

if the offending webmaster can't make money. ...... they'll stop.

it is the rest of the community's responsiblity to NOT promote sponsors that support BH tactics. that is the only way we will prevail.

and its the right thing to do.
