    Default Clearing the Air

To clear up the confusion let me tell something about myself. I'm a gambling enthusiast and trying to learn gambling especially poker. I generally visit many sites to gather information on the same. I am not an affiliate though at one point of time I had the intention of becoming one. While I was browsing through search engines, I bumped into a site I thought this information, along with some others pages of this site will be good info for gambling buffs. That's the sole reason that I had given these links. I have read similar information of these tournament announcements in some of the sites like Casino Advisor, Gambling Reviews, etc.

Please don't think that I'm spamming. If placement of links are a way of spamming then I'm really sorry. As a gesture I've removed the links.

Placement of links is ok when requesting reviews of your website, or when directing others to a page that has a problem that you are trying to work out and need input on.

There are times when links are needed that link to an article, software tool or other news item that is pertinent to a discussion....

Links posted that point to affiliate website, and the sole purpose of the post is to generate traffic to a website is frowned upon, subject to be removed by moderators, and jeopardizes your member account if it gets out of hand.

We encourage you to join in the many discussions here as there is a lot to learn for both affilates and gambling enthusiasts such as yourself.

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!

If you have any more suggestions, then please let me know. I'll try my level best to be a sincere and helpful participant of this forum.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Cameron

    This line, which you posted
I'll try my level best to be a sincere and helpful participant of this forum.
That pretty much says it all and most newcomers to the forums would gain much knowledge advancement by learning this one point.

Sometimes it takes a while for members to get it. By doing that and becoming active in discussions you become more involved in the discussions themselves and can't help but learn more and the side benefit is that you also get to help and teach others.

By you picking up on that point shortly after becoming a member here, you are way ahead of some public members who have been hanging around here doing nothing but trolling for link partners for months....

If you're not an affiliate, why all the links in your signature? Your participation here is confusing me. Since GPWA is primarily an affiliate based forum and you have portal sites linked in your sig... are you or are you not an affiliate?

If you have any more suggestions, then please let me know. I'll try my level best to be a sincere and helpful participant of this forum.

LOL - The beast is just curious. If you look through his posts you'll see why I'm questioning what his motives are. His posts contradict his claims and raise some valid questions.

Here are a couple comments that make me wonder what his business is...

I have found a very good article in a blog on: social marketing and its effectiveness in online gambling
The link in the above post points to one of the portals in his sig.

What will you pay per link? Is there any criteria of the types of link you require?
So my gut tells me if he isn't an affiliate, he's a professional link broker. Either way - I just want him to clear the air and stop playing whatever game he's got going here.
