How to Block an Unwanted 301 Redirect from a Spammy Domain

One of my new WP sites was hacked and coding with a specific domain was added to various sections in the database. I deleted the entire site and built it up again from scratch. The site is now secure, however the domain that was added to my database has a 301 redirect to my site.

Is there a way to determine the IP address of this domain as normal methods don't reveal it?
Is there another way to block this redirect?

It sounds to me like you only need to disavow the domain redirecting to your site.

If you don't want visitors who click on that domain being redirected to your site, you may be able to set up a conditional redirect (based on HTTP_REFERER) to send them elsewhere (like example-dot-com) in your Web configuration file. That would be ".htaccess" on an Apache server.

Are we talking about domain.com straight up 301 to your site, as you would make via Godaddy? If so I'd report it to the registrar for domain abuse and ask them to remove it.

Daftdog, I sent a pm giving a few suggestions.

Thanks for the info. The domain disavow was one of the first things I did and I have tried the various conditional redirects but none worked.

Yep, it's a straight up 301 domain redirect. I have been in contact with the registrar and when I checked this morning it appears the account has been taken down but no reply to my email yet.

Thanks Rick, I've replied to your pm.

There is a really good plugin for this that allows you to just copy the bad links in your dashboard and it submits them for you. its called spam referrer.
