Comment and be active on related forums like this one where people are actually interested in your sites helps a lot. Otherwise hard to get that good bounce rates and visitor value

Consistency is the most important thing imo. It sends good signals to Google adding content on your specific topic on a regular basis. It also makes your visitors come back to your site more often.

With my only SEO experience coming from non gambling websites, I still stick with what people have suggested above. Good content is the only way to keep your people coming back.

I can only imagine that if your content is poor in the gambling niche, you don't get trusted by your reader. This will negatively impact what you are looking to do.

Content and links are not enough. The site has to give people some reason to come back on a regular basis. ie. free games, daily news, exclusive bonus offers, etc

Content indeed. However content alone is typically not going to give you reliable traffic if you are not already ranking well in the search engines. There is a video from moz which addresses this topic very well, search google for "targeted link building in 2016 + moz"

Agree with all of the above and would also add a good understanding of your audience's intent

So, use the Keyword Planner to select your chosen keywords based on relevance and search volume.

Then... (and this is the part that lots of people skip out!)

Work out exactly what the user would want to see if they were searching one of your chosen keywords. Also think about the state they are in

    For example:

If I am on the hunt for 'mens cardigans' I am in a discovery state and am open to seeing what is available on the web - you would therefore do well in optimising a category page here that has some choice. I am also not committing too much to the search so am not 100% ready to make a purchase

Conversely if I am on the lookout for 'mens navy cotton cardigan' I know exactly what I want. I'd like to see a product page with clear reviews and of course a product which completely matches my search. As my search is so specific, I am also more likely to make a purchase

This psychology is a big part of doing a great job for the user and this will also have a strong influence on how you perform in the search engines

You have to use complex approach:
    1) Internal SEO, or On-Page SEO - all titles, descriptions, url structure should be done properly doesn't equal spammy. stick to your semantic, reseacrh
    2) Linkbuilding. Man I wonder why you're asking for improvements here while outside GPWA there are hundreds of trusted SEO resources like MOZ, Search Engine Land, Backlinko, Neil Patel etc. they publish tons of content on improving search visibility, positions etc day by day.
    3) Social Media helps to reindex your website content over and over.

    best wishes

So original topic one more time=)) if you create the site for some goals, you should know how to get reliable organic traffic. Anyway, if you want to find really cool advices, just analyze your top competitors, read the best online communities and test your own tactics for seo and etc. However, to do something unique and really cool you have to know basic seo things.
P.S. To get really helpful advices, ask more specific questions. Asking How to get traffic you will see only - Write Cool Content, Buy Awesome Links, Optimize pages=))) Do you know how to do it? Great. The thing is that every webmaster do it in his own way according to his experience.

    My list:
contents: quality is king (if promoted)
on site SEO (no duplicate pages, mobile responsive, user-friendly structure, appealing graphic - SPEED!)
marketing (spread your contents and news mostly on social channels and via mail-list - encourage visitors to subscribe)
back-links (ethical only / niche related - no spam)
be active on well know forums (like this)

As I mentioned before, link building. Came to think of it, link building is the only way you are gonna get visitors really. How else are you going to rank a casino affiliate site? I have been buying links from this guy for a while now: http://grindtime.io/premium-backlinks/ and I can recommend him if you want some heavy hitting links.

I get thousands of visitors without building any links so far, though i may link out and receive links from similar sites if content is good ... as casino elite mentioned quality content, in that respect something that people want to read. buying links will ultimately catch up with you and burn your site to the ground, just because penguin hasn't run for a couple of years doesn't mean you are out of the woods just yet..

wonderputer, after a quick glance at your sites.. how are you gonna go and tell me you are not doing any link building? you have obviously bought and traded links, which explains your thousands of visitors

Main site is a few years old, a lot of people link to it because it has valuable info it has perhaps 7 links there from a few years ago, latest site has very few links 95% which are no follow. every page which ranks in the top 10 you will see 0 links to them.. I get thousands of visitors because i build thousands of high quality pages.
