Default how to choose a host for starting a gambling site?

    Hi,
I've started to build my website on webs.com and i want to move it to another host and work with WordPress,
all the feedback i get is that WordPress is the way to do it -
But i can't seem to get an answer about the host, some people say that WordPress.com aloud gambling sites and some say that only WordPress.org with a host called hostgator is o.k. with gambling sites -
I just finished chatting with hostgator's chat support and i was told that it doesn't matter if i use wordpress.com or wordpress.org,
    " gambling is not permitted".
Can someone please consult me on what to do? i like webs.com and a managed to work very easily with it's site builder, the only problem is the themes aren't that pretty, there isn't alot of choices and that is the main reason i want to move to another host.
Any thought on the subject would be great!!!
    tnx everyone!!!

Go to Icebluehost and have a chat with them about their US-based servers. They're fine with gambling and will give you the technical advice you need.

Take a look at liquidweb. They offer a range of hosting options, have excellent customer support and allow gambling content.

You can use a lot of different host providers. Any of the above plus Go Daddy or Web.com although some say the speed at Go Daddy is not very good. I personally have not had any trouble but just thought I would put that in there. Do stay away from BlueHost. While they are very good in my mind they do not like gambling sites.

Many hosts will also have Wordpress as a 1 click install. Unsure about the ones mentioned above but I do know Go Daddy offers this where you just install WordPress directly from your hosting account then just start adding your website content. If you already have a wordpress site built you would need to download your site and then upload it to your new host provider.

My main site is hosted with them. I also know of other people who use them to host gambling sites. Maybe the customer support representative messed up, but their terms of service are here xhttp://www.liquidweb.com/about/sharedtos.html

    Hi.

I suggest you to search for hosting providers in Europe (UK or Netherlands maybe) or Canada, because some US hosting providers are confused about legalitty of gambling related sites in the United States.

And I suggest you to search a VPS instead of a shared hosting because shared hosting is very vulnerable and unestable. If you're a newbie about how to manage a server then look for a managed VPS server. I'm using now a cPanel cloud server provided by Vexxhost (Canada) that uses cPanel for hosting accounts. cPanel is easy but to setup the server you will need some help if you're not an expert.

I'm using another fully managed VPS with servers in the UK (rtt2 dot com) where you can select a free panel or a cPanel to manage your hosting accounts.

WordPress is an excellent tool, no doubts about that.

    Good luck!

Some US hosts know and completely understand gaming.

In most cases a vps should not share ip's with others, but also important to make sure that any vps has plenty of resources allocated to that virtual install, and that the parent server containing that server has plenty of resources for the number of containers it is running.
