Now that 2018 has drawn to a close and we're all analyzing our revenue for the final month of the year, it is time to do our annual poll to ask how the affiliate revenue you earned in 2018 compared to what you earned in 2017.

How did it change? Did it get better, stay the same, or get worse for you?

And posts about your thoughts about the reasons for the changes you have seen and your view of what the future holds are welcome. Do you think the changes between the two years are due to general business changes, to changes you have made to your sites, to a change in your level of effort, or something else?

My apologies that this poll is similar to one started by casinobingofriends last week (Have your affiliate earnings increased/decreased in 2018 compared to 2017?), but with the long history of this poll, and the fact that this poll is more specific about the extent of any increase or decrease, I figured it made sense to run it again this year as well.

For me, revenue shrank a lot from about 21 to 30 percent since 2017. These changes I believe are the result of much more competition in the industry and it also comes down to how one's sites are ranked by the search engines.

Same here. I worked more hours, as patient as Job, but netted the same profit.

I had a large bump, although i had a slowdown in 2016-2017, 2019 looking even better so far

We had a significant increase in both Traffic and Revenue.

My revenue grew quite a bit, but I don't think you could see a trend in the industry with these numbers. It's more about personal achievement, imo.
For me 2018 had great projects and great paychecks. Hope 2019 will be even better.

Overall, it's the same thing. I had problems when I put 3 of my sites in https.
I had to wait patiently to go up in the serps.
