Question How did the first quarter of 2011 compare with the fourth quarter of 2010 for you?

The first quarter of 2011 ended almost a week ago, so it is now time to ask our periodic question to members about how the revenue they are earning has changed over the last quarter.

If you compare revenue from the first quarter of 2011 (January to March) to revenue from the fourth quarter of 2010 (October to December), how did it change? Did it get better, stay the same, or get worse for you?

And post your thoughts about the changes you have seen and your view of what the future holds. How much do you think the changes you saw between the two quarters is due to general economic conditions, how much is related to seasonal fluctuations, and how much is related to changes in what you are doing?

For Casino City, there was a 17.9% revenue increase for 2011 Q1 versus 2010 Q4. I attribute a good portion, but not all of that increase to traditional seasonal variation. For us, that increase was on top of an increase of 17.4% from Q3 2010 to Q4 2010, so I was happy to see a second quarter in a row with close to a 20% revenue increase over the previous quarter. However, that growth is tempered by the fact that we experienced decreases in revenue in Q2 2010 and Q3 2010 as compared with the previous quarters, so our total revenue in Q1 2011 was still less than what it was in Q1 2010.

Extremely strong January, one of my best ever months. Tempered by lots of winners in Feb and Mar. Making the first quarter pretty much the same as the last quarter in 2010.

almost the same. Michael, how do you feel why you had a drop in revenues compared to q1?
is it players (less spendings)? less traffic? worse conversions?

Business as usual with my personal sites, although a few recently gained rankings will hopefully mean a brighter Q2.

stayed about even, I had some good losses on E-wallet issues I dont think we as affiliates ahould be impacted by but thats life I guess. More traffic and sign ups but less revenue per player it seems so far this year. Also with the move of some casinos to different affiliate platforms its real intersting that revenue usually drops like a rock after the "seamless" move.

My revenue exploded at the start of this year. . . but that's probably just because I made a more dedicated effort at converting. Still to see how the USA stuff affects it however. . .

My revenue dropped in January 2011, and this first quarter has been a bit slow too. I guess this is because 99% of my income comes from USA players. Maybe I should start promoting non-USA casino brands to see how that goes. This month has been okay though, so hopefully it keeps going up
