Default How did most of you guys do for the first few months?

I am just curious, but how much, if any, did most of your earnings pick up over the first year?
I believe I have a pretty good looking site, and I get a good amount of traffic (around 10,000 hits per month), however, my most profitable month was my first one. Ever since then I have been getting about $100 a month (I am owed around $1000, but it is spread out over different affiliates that wont pay until I reach $100).
Also, every one of my checks has been from CPAs. Most of my programs are revenue sharing and I get a few players each month at most of them, but everytime I get close to $100 profit someone wins big.
Did most of you have to stick around for a while before you started making any money with your site?

I think the climate now is a bit different to how it was when I first started four years ago - for one there was much less competition. Even now much of my income comes from players who have been with me from early on. It took me three years to be able to make a full time income from my site and even now I have months when I wonder what the hell i have done  You have a great looking site there, so dont be discouraged, keep plugging away at it and Im sure you will do OK

It took me 18 months before I made one red cent! but admittedly I knew practically nothing about internet marketing , SEO etc so my main obstacle was the learning side of things.
Just be persistant and NEVER GIVE UP - You'll get there eventually

it all depends on how you choose to market. faster results come with paid advertising (IMO)

as to getting free traffic; I'll let you know when that happens

Totally agree with bb1webs that paid traffic can bring really fast results. I receved by largest single check on the first month of oeration and it was over $3000. with cost of some $1000 for traffic. But I had luck on big spenders. My commission per player was over $200 the very first month. Those times are over, I noticed a big drop in earnings for Referback casinos since july. Any suggestions for a good casino affiliate program to replace referback as the main source of $$$?

Casino Rewards, Casino Profitshare, Money Mechanic, Vegas Partner - all MGS groups. Most have their banners at the top of this board.

Referback is a joke anymore. Not enough players for the number of hits sent to them. And the fact that they change bonuses so often makes it hard to keep up with. In all of my directories, under the referback casinos, I have placed this:
Due to the frequency of this casino's bonus changes, we no longer try to keep up with them. Please see casino website for current bonuses.

Now people don't even click thru any more. I will be removing them all in the next couple days. They're just taking up valuable space.

If you're looking for someone to replace Referback with, you can find several Microgaming and other multi tier programs on my webmasters page.
