Question How did the second quarter of 2013 compare with the first quarter of 2013 for you?

The second quarter of 2013 just ended, so it is now time to ask our periodic question to members about how the revenue they are earning has changed over the last quarter.

If you compare revenue from the second quarter of 2013 (April to June) to revenue from the first quarter of 2013 (January to March), how did it change? Did it get better, stay the same, or get worse for you?

And post your thoughts about the changes you have seen and your view of what the future holds. How much do you think the changes you saw between the two quarters is due to general economic conditions, how much is related to changes in the online gaming affiliate marketplace, how much is related to seasonal fluctuations, and how much is related to changes in what you are doing?

For us, maintaining focus on quality, TRULY unique content - as well as working with quality operators is the key. By doing things "the right way" and not worrying in the least bit about building links, buying links, or faking anything - Google rewarded us in the SERPS (or maybe they didn't reward us but instead punished our competition who use shortcuts, focuses on linkbuilding, and sources content that is not TRULY unique).

In any event, our revenue increase in comparing quarter over quarter and same quarter 1 year ago placed us in the top category of this survey - all while decreasing the "cost of doing business".

I had an outstanding 2nd quarter. This was mainly attributable to my casino sites finally taking off and growing very nicely. If I could keep the current growth rate I would be "happy happy happy".

My revenue grow about 11% compared to the 1st quarter. But my profit was a bit less because I invested a lot the 2nd quarter. But I will keep investing and I hope I keep growing.

A poor quarter for me I'm afraid. Google isn't my friend and I had too many winners.

    Better pick my game up!!

For Casino City, 2nd quarter affiliate revenue was up a small amount from the first quarter (2.2%), so I checked revenue stayed the same within 5%.

In terms of historical comparisons, the second quarter this year was actually very good. It was up more than 28% over the second quarter last year. That compares with the first quarter this year, where affiliate revenue was up a little over 5% versus the year before.
