Question How did your web pageviews in Q3 this year compare with last year?

We all know the world is a very different place this year compared with a year ago. I decided it would be interesting to see how different it was, in terms of web traffic versus a year ago, so I turned to Google Analytics for some data. In the audience overview, I set the time period to 1 July 2020 - 30 September 2020 and said to compare that period to the same period a year earlier in 2019. I found mostly good news - three of the four sites I looked at were doing better in terms of pageviews. Here are the details for the four sites I looked at, highlighting pageviews, but looking at all eight statistics that Google analytics reports:

For the GPWA the news was mostly good:

    Users: Up 27%
    New Users: Up 27%
    Sessions: Up 10%
    Pageviews: Up 2%
    Pages/Session: Down 7%
    Sessions/User: Down 13%
    Bounce Rate: Up 14%
Session Duration: Down 16% (although still at four minutes)

For the APCW the news was even better:

    Pageviews: Up 58%
    Session Duration: Up 55%
    Sessions: Up 31%
    Pages/Session: Up 21%
    New Users: Up 18%
    Users: Up 17%
    Sessions/User: Up 11%
    Bounce Rate: Down 7%

In between was our main affiliate site:

    New Users: Up 62%
    Users: Up 60%
    Sessions: Up 52%
    Pageviews: Up 28%
    Sessions/User: Down 4%
    Bounce Rate: Up 15%
    Pages/Session: Down 16%
    Session Duration: Down 18%

Worst of the sites I checked was our main consumer news site:

    New Users: Unchanged
    Bounce Rate: Up 2%
    Users: Down 3%
    Sessions/User: Down 3%
    Sessions: Down 6%
    Pages/Session: Down 7%
    Pageviews: Down 13%
    Session Duration: Down 22%

I'm curious how that compares with the changes you saw this last quarter versus the same period a year ago. Since this is the GPWA, I cast my vote based on the GPWA website. But as an affiliate I'd otherwise vote based on our main affiliate site, which was up 28%.

For us Pageviews increased 11% to 20%133.33%But you know this year in much more different than the previous one. So I can't say the progress is really good.
But I keep working on it to improve the future results.

Up a lot on most key metrics compared to same period last year, however, my site is only a few years old so this is expected. The challenge is to continue growth. It will be more interesting to see stats from those who have sites many years old.
