How do you like to be contacted by Affiliate Managers?

I prefer emails. I'll only add the AM to skype only when i've started working with them.

Emails that i like and usually reply to are the ones that are short, simple and direct. One paragraph is enough and please avoid the lengthy details of how good your program is. Template is a bit of a turn off as i feel that it won't make any difference if i were to reply or not. No personal touch there.
The worst would be to get the same template email when you didn't reply to the first one. Sometimes i get three or four of the same email. That's awful and all it does is make me not want to reply. Ever.

Funniest thing happen to me yesterday. LOL it was funny as hell.

I checked my email and got an email from an Affiliate Manager (wont name program). But obviously they have been reading this thread and proceeded to email me with the exact phrase I posted here. Totally identical!!! Not a word missing I just about **** myself laughing so hard.

Had a good laugh about that - but on that note he was respectful enough to really show he wanted to work together and I at least replied and sent him a respectful and long email about his programs history.

No if i was I would played along for a couple of days - and then made a deal and asked them where they wanted placement on belosers. I cant wait till one of their Ams contacts me - I wanna do it so bad - email back and forth for a few days and then tell them we will give them top exposure on Belosers. That will make my year whatever year its in.

Problem is - I am on their hate list for sure in their offices sure they have me plastered on a dart board... LOL

I can understand AM's trying to get new business but they need to go about it in an ethical way.

I have always mentioned where I got the email address from (contact form etc) and what I think the brand could contribute to the website.

Constructive feedback is always helpful and can help AMs do their job better in the long run.

You can contact me anyway you want (email, contact form, skype)- the only rule is that you've done your homework and can tell me how you are going to generate me higher profits - which spots, pages, marketing method etc.
