Search engine optimization (SEO). I would recommend the following read if you're new to the subject: http://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo.

I'm curious, what will be the next question of Vee 16?

Anyway, first be sure that you've got some content. Pure theory: what you will make with a first page ranked website without any content? Content is king. People do want to read first class quality content. I guess you better start with that. Just lock up yourself a few days in your office, imagine you are a person that wants to gamble and write the content he wants to read when he's looking for an online casino to play, a bookie to place his bets, etc.

Honestly I think you are really asking too much things instead of reading first a lot or already do the things you're able to do without reading hours and hours...

Lots of "no money" ways to drive traffic. Social sites are one, SEO has been my best friend for long term, stable traffic. But if you really want to make money here, don't focus so much on 'traffic' spend your time focusing on creating quality content, the more unique the better. Once you get a few hundred pages in Google, you'll start to see some traffic.

Also note that most sites I have seen get sandboxed by Google for the first maybe 6 months.. So don't give up.. Most people I know work for a month or two then give up when they don't see any results from their work. Then about 6-8 months later their site starts ranking and gaining a little traffic.

Ahh the great equalizer. Will they continue investing or give up? Most give up...

I like StumbleUpon for quick boost. The traffic bounces and isn't worth a darn, but you need to start somewhere. G likes that and it will index your site faster if people form Stumble start going there. You can;t really game Stumble either, not it would be worth doing because you will never make one sale with it. Forums (non-affiliate) can be a great source of free traffic but it takes a lot of work to develop trust.

Can't just go dropping casino bombs lol!

as i am familiar with the phrase "free traffic" people mean traffic for no money, they dont count time. So if we start from that point there are some tactics to get "free traffic". The first one is good seo on the site which could bring nantural search engine traffic. The second is to promote your site for free in forums (with some research you can find a lot). the third option is Link Exchange, if you are good in searching you can find very good deals (link exchange is not good for seo anymore). Traffic from targeted mailing lists, if you have a huge target list for example in gambling niche is a good way to get such traffic - this kind of list a hard to be build but once u have it its a huge resource. Guest blogging to similar niche site - you are writing unique article on some topics, and pointing your site inside. Building targeted friends list with interests you need, the post your links directly in facebook (its similar for all other social networks) I suggest to write from time to time a good articles in your sites which hellp a lot for rankings for specific keywords. A good tactic is also implementing a watermark with a link to your site in pictures and post it wherever you like. You just cant imagine how curious a people. Writing a short ebook about specific topic with links to the site is also very powerful and viral tactic if you provide good information inside it.

I hope this will help you. Cheers

Well since the OP didnt specify what kind of a traffic he is looking for, I can assume it's converting players? But that's not the only way to make money in this industry. For example, this forum can be a good way to drive fellow webmasters into your website.

I didn't know on what thread or what post, but I do have some large sub-affiliates from here, I don't know their names or why, in fact I didn't know about them till a year and a half ago when they started generating good amount of sub commission. So yeah u never know where it's gonna come from when and how.

Thats interesting that, I wonder why they take so long to rank or generate traffic then? I have a few small websites that Im trying to rank at the moment. Im new to gambling affiliate marketing and the competition is tough for the niches I have chosen. My writing skills are not the best either, I'm better at writing short summaries instead of 500-750 word articles and I dont have much money for writers so its all going very slot at the moment.

Do you have links on your websites for "webmasters" with links to affiliate companies? Is that what you mean?

Not even. Every promotional content that I've had has always been towards players and all of my links and call to action words have been for players. This is why I had never expected to have sub-affiliates and never checked and found out so late.

Thanks for the reply. It may be an idea to add something like that. I only get a small amount of traffic at the moment but I may even look into this. I didn't know I could also potentially earn from sub-affiliates too

A lot of methods already has been said.
    Let me add one more.

You can create content that attracts traffic.
    I mean outstanding content.
    Some examples:
    - organize a webinar
    - organize interview with an expert in your niche
    - write a great research

Could you expand on this for me? Do you mean that you just put links to your site in comments? Doesn't the group owner just remove them as most of them are affiliates also? Thanks in advance for your help.
